Jake's EPIC 30th Birthday

Jake turned 30 today and to celebrate the awesomeness of turning 30 on the 30th we went mountain biking.  It was incredible.  PERFECT. Like really perfect. We got a babysitter on Saturday and finally biked one of the trails we've been talking about for so long. It was honestly so cool. The trail was amazing, the weather perfect, scenery was gorgeous, and the company great :)  (I think he was a little too winded to smile!) Today, while Jake was at a work lunch, Everett and I decorated his office and left a jar of 30 things we love about him.  He came home early and we went to Costco for pizza (his ultimate favorite) and ate it picnic style at the park.  Once we got home we gave him his gifts (an ironing board, 16 cans of shaving cream, 1 stick of deodorant, a shaving mirror, 3 boxes of cheez-its, and a bag of Reeses) and had cheesecake.  We love birthdays around here... Breckie is next! We ...

Good And Handsome

Everett looked mighty handsome today before church so I had no choice but to take a few  million pictures. Oh my gosh do I love this kid! I mean... just look at this little personality: I'm not sure if I could love these pictures any more! Of course I bribed him with candy.... this was the happy expression I got after he tried a white chocolate peppermint kiss! And then, when we were done, he hoped off his chair and did a little dance! Seriously! Everett is such a special little kid. He makes me smile from ear to ear and I feel like there is no way I could possible love him any more... but I know I will.  He is 3.5 now. The other day I was thinking about him turning 4 and I legitimately felt sad. I kind-of don't want him to grow up.  But he will so I won't be sad... I'll just love every second of it! At 3.5 Everett loves school, his teachers, Cars and Planes, movies and cook...

Still The Same But Completely Different

The other day when I was looking at my blog I scrolled to the very bottom and read the About Me section and I kind-of thought: that's not really me anymore.   The picture is more than two years old and although I still love crafting and decorating I hardly have time for it anymore.  I can't even remember the last time I went to a Goodwill or any thrift/2nd hand/consignment store for that matter.  I haven't been to a yard sale in ages. I haven't had cereal for breakfast (or at all) for almost 6 months. (THIS IS HUGE!!!) I'm pretty sure I was addicted.  I don't really laugh at my cooking skills anymore. I'm actually a pretty good cook these days... just ask my dad about those salmon tacos the other night :) And I haven't looked through a magazine in soooooooooooo long (besides church magazines). Years actually.  It's kind-of funny how we don't change in dramatic ways... just a little at a time and then all of a sudd...

Christmas 2013

Christmas was a lot of fun this year.  The crafts and the decorating and the cookies, parties, lights and the movies and the stories of Santa and  birth of Jesus Christ.... it's all just so much more fun with your 3-year-old. It'll be even better when Breckie is 3 and Everett is 6! Here are the rest of this years highlights: Decorating the tree. It seems like each year I love our tree decorations more and more. I loved it this year.  Breckie got a stocking.... And Everett got a new ornament. Jake's parents gave him a new ornament every year when he was a kid and Everett LOVED playing with them. I think I had to hot glue every single one of them back together because he played with them so much! Everett came home with all kinds of goodies from his last day at Mrs. Tanya's. They even had a day when they went Christmas shopping... he came home with a gift wrapped for each of us.  We had fun checking the mail hopi...
