Everett Turns NINE

Nine.  Whew.  Everett is nine.  Sometimes I feel like he should be 12 already but then other times it seems like I just sent him off to Kindergarten! Everett is super smart. At least twice as smart as Jake and I were at his age. We always joke with him and ask him where he came from because he is so different than we were (and are) in many ways.  He LOVES movies (especially the Marvel movies), loves music, likes to swim and play soccer, and pretty much anything to do on a screen.  He has a lot of friends but only socializes at school and church. He is still very sensitive... (proof that he's my kid!). He has a crush on Reya (a girl in his class).  Everett is a special kid and everyone seems to sense it. He's so good when he knows he should be. He always gives us a run for our money at home though. Sometimes I hate that he gives his best to everyone else... but I'm grateful he's not a punk to everyone! P...

Beach Babies

Breckie has been BEGGING me to let her have "a swim suit that has a top and a bottom but no middle" for a while.  It just so happened that I was at Ross a few days before our Mexico trip and I found her THE CUTEST two-piece for $7.99.  And those pineapple sunglasses for $2.99 They were just too cute on her and she was totally game for a few pictures on the beach. And the newly missing front tooth was the icing on the cake 😍 This little girlie does all of her own posing. I wish I could take credit but I can't.  (That was our beach house for the weekend ⬈ ) I really wanted a picture of each kid on the beach and then all three of them together but it was an impossible task. I have SO many great pictures of our kids already so it really wasn't a big deal.  It seems funny (sometimes) that they can't even stand next to each other and look towards me without fighting. #siblings

Memorial Day in Mexico

For the second year in a row, we spend the Memorial Day weekend in Mexico (which seems so backwards!).  But it's a tradition for the families we go with so it's kind-of a thing now :) I didn't really take very many pictures.  The last day of school was Thursday and then Friday morning we drove down to Mexico. It ended up taking 6+ hours with the traffic and getting across the border. Sleeping that night was extra fun. All 5 of us in one little room and the mattress were like EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA ultra-mega firm.  I didn't even know they made mattresses that hard! So I was up early and took a walk on the beach. We played in the water and on the beach ALLLLLL day that day. The kids had a blast in the water and we built castles in the sand. It was actually a tiny bit chilly (especially if you were wet). I LOVED the not-super-hot weather.  We played lots of games and ate a whole bucket of Red Vines. It felt like camping.  *SUPER cr...

Kindergarten 'Graduation'

Kindergarten Graduation was on a Tuesday morning. It was much less of a production than Everett's Kindergarten graduation at Eduprize.  Each teacher announced their kids as they walked in and stood on the risers. (Breckie is 4th kid in on the top left row) They sang songs they've been learning in music and they even sang head-shoulders-knees-and-toes in English, Spanish, French & Japanese.  After that we went back to Breckie's classroom where Mrs. Thomas asked each kid what their favorite part of kindergarten was. Breckie said her favorite part was Mrs. Thomas.  Breckie's best friend (Presli) said her favorite part about kindergarten was playing with Breckie. I thought that was so sweet! They seem like two peas in a pod.  *Breckie and Presli and a journal entry from Spring Break that I found in her journal she brought home.  Breckie really loved Kindergarten. We have some work to do this Summer so we can get caught up on...

Roxy's 3rd Birthday

Roxy's birthday was on a Sunday this year.  We went to church, took her birthday pictures, she fell asleep on the way home from pictures (so she napped), then dinner, cake, presents and playing! *I LOVE her cuteness! Her after-nap pigtail hair, soft, pale skin and rosy red lips 😍 She wanted a Peppa Pig party so that's what she got! (I did not make her cake. I bought a cake from the youth fundraiser we did last month).  *she does this funny things with her hands/wrists/fingers where she twists and wiggles them when she's trying to tell you something exciting :) They were ALL excited to open presents :) Jake took videos on his phone and caught Everett picking his nose several times 😂 She was thrilled with her presents!  She's such a little sweetheart! Especially after a nap :) Of course she didn't care about eating the cake (but we sure did!).  She ...
