Howlwing was wele fun :)

We all dressed up for Trunk-or-treat. This has to be one of my favorite pictures :) And my favorite journal entry from one cute little Harry Potter.  One of the houses we went to on Halloween night was giving out notebooks instead of candy and Everett was super excited to write about his Halloween fun. And we did have a lot of fun! We set up the fire pit and halloween lights in our driveway and roasted hot dogs while we passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters.  (Breckie and Everett's pumpkins) Then we went trick-or-treating ourselves. Both kids almost filled their pumpkins full of candy. I think if Everett were to finish this journal entry it would say how he "givest" come candy to his mom :) He is the sweetest!

Marilyn Monroe = My Celebrity Twin

Late last night Julia sent me a link for a personality quiz.  So I took it and the results had me laughing.  Entertainer? That's weird.   But I read the description and suddenly my personality was summed up in one quote from Marilyn Monroe! Embarrassingly true.  Now, I'm not going to base my personality around some online quiz, but there is a lot of truth to it and the timing of this quiz is ironic.  Not long ago I had one of those bi-annual breakdowns. They happen to everyone; I assume.  I was telling Jake that I just want to be everyone.  He asked me what I meant and I had to try my best to explain that I don't want  to be them , but I just want to be them.  I want to climb all the tall mountains like them, do triathlons like them, be fashionable like them, be a cook like them, be a photographer like them, be crafty like them, have hair like them, have a house like them, be stupid fit like them, be a mo...

Self-timer Pictures In Sedona

I only have a kit lens and a portrait lens (neither are great for family pics) but we try our best :) The first picture is one of my favorites even though Roxy is yelling and Breckie isn't smiling... it's just pretty! After like 20 pictures and Breckie wasn't smiling in any of them, we asked her why and she said she was. When we showed her what her "smile" looked like she told us she didn't know how to smile. But then she gave us one good one! GASP! We are all looking AND Breckie is smiling: We don't have a remote or anything... we just push the button on the camera and then run to our spot and smile. That's probably why they are all standing pictures. But this one time Jake pushed the button and fell running back to his spot. It was perfect! I think my camera is on the tail end of it's existence. We all look vampirish and SO many of the pictures were super blurry. But for now we got some pretty pictures...

Day Trip To Sedona

October in the Phoenix valley is unanimously voted the worst month.  The super sad thing is that it's pretty much the best month everywhere else.  October is month 7 (in a row) of being really, really hot and everyone is done.  Especially me. Because we have a baby and can't do anything.  I should stop complaining about my wonderful life.  Jake could sense my desperation to be in the mountains and see Fall colors.  So he took Tuesday off (the last day of Fall break) and said we'd go on a day trip.  I googled a few things and found that Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona had pretty Fall colors.  I had more of an Aspen tree/real mountain kind of trip planned in my head but we hadn't been to Sedona yet so we went.  It was REALLY pretty.  *Roxy's mean face in the first picture cracks me up! Getting to Sedona was quite the struggle. The pattern of traveling-with-young-kids continues. ...
