Photography By Everett

So, I've been trying to do us all a favor and hurry up and eat the rest of the Easter candy… Breckie got a hold of a one of these chocolate candies and gave my face a taste. Such a sweet girl :)  But that's not what this post is about… it's about how Everett took a bunch of pictures with my phone and what he captured: My chocolaty face. My chocolaty shirt… and if you look real close, you'll see Everett's reflection in my sunglasses and you'll see what he's NOT wearing! And then there is the picture that just says it all.  The pee he peed on the brick wall behind me The first book I've read all year Laying in the rocks because that was the only shade in the yard The chocolate all over my shirt His reflection in my glasses And I will always remember how he asked me to "say CHEESE"!

Worst Enemy

Breckie had a bad bad bad bad week… which means I did too. She had the pukes ALL week and couldn't eat or drink anything. She had a fever all week and there was nothing we could do because it was a virus going around. She cried and screamed A LOT and I held her A LOT and did everything in my power to help her feel better and I wished I could fast forward time to when she was better every second of every day.  She was so exhausted that she watched her first movie, lost her leg rolls, took a few long naps, went on at least 5 stroller rides a day, made me so frustrated that I wanted to throw myself down the stairs…  The day she stopped puking she got sores in the back of her throat and had lots of sharp pains in her stomach. She was miserable and would twist and scream for hours… once again, it was a virus and aftermath of so much puking and there was nothing we could do about it.  I honestly don't know how I survived… much less Breckie...

Solo Sunset Ride

Last week I rode my bike to the mountains to watch the sunrise. Yesterday I went on a ride to watch it set.  This last week was one that I'd never want to re-live. It was so bad.  So to watch the sun set on a bad week was fitting. It was beautiful. And I made it home just before dark.

This Life We Live

Every time I plug in the camera or phone I find evidence that life is great.  There are moments when life isn't so great but whenever I look through our pictures or blog posts my heart is so full of gratitude for this life that we get to live.  We have two beautiful children... We have friends… And our kids have friends... We love where we live... And I have a spouseman that I adore (and that adores me even more!) *Of course we have so much more to be grateful for but these were just the pictures from the last time I plugged in Jake's phone.
