Breckie: She's not in our family Me: Oh, so is this a family picture from before Roxy was born? Breckie: (super guilty) uh, yeah Me: Like when she was still in my tummy? Breckie: (even guiltier) um hmm Me: Do you love Roxy? Breckie: (guiltiest) yeah Me: What do you love about her? Breckie: Well... (sigh).............. nothing....

Fairytale Sugar Cookies

I'm not sure what happened to January but it passed by and I did a terrible job of documenting it! We switched Everett to his new school after Christmas break so it's been a lot of driving (and paperwork) and driving and driving and change. We don't move into our new house for a few more weeks so it's been A LOT of driving.  Everett joined a running club and Breckie is in soccer. We go to the gym at least 4 days a week, I work a few nights a week and I've been thinking obsessing about my new years goal... which is to further my knowledge of photography. So I haven't really had time to keep up.  One day after soccer practice Hannah came home with us and we made some fairytale sugar cookies. They were super cute! The girls had a lot of fun and we all ate WAY too much sugar!

Step One

I've always wanted to be really good at photography but it's kind-of a tricky hobby.  I feel like it's a one step forward, two steps backwards sometimes. I've gotten so frustrated from time to time that I've given up a little. I can almost guarantee that my family would be happier if I completely gave up on it :) But I just can't. I am ALWAYS thinking about photography... you'd think I'd be a professional photographer by now considering how much it occupies my thoughts.  I'd love to be a real photographer. I think I've always lacked the confidence but sooner or later I'll get there. I did take these pictures of Breckie in manual mode, back lit, mid-day (three somewhat tricky things) so for today, it's one step forward.
