Since January got "overlooked" here is a look in pictures.
Jan 1st: The mall.
Dillards always has a sale and Jake (desperately!!) needed new work clothes... so the kids and I hung out while Jake shopped.
Jan 7th: Checking on the house.
Jan 8th: Roxy is cute and buckles herself in the carseat.
Jan 12-13: Drawings
Breckie get's a new shopkins notebook and pen and draws our family (minus Roxy) and her BFF Rad.
Breckie: Mom, look!
Me: Oh cute! Is this our family?
Breckie: Yep
Me: Can you tell me who is who?
Breckie: Mom, Me, Dad, Everett
Me: Where's Roxy?
Breckie: She's not in our family
Me: Oh, so is this a family picture from before Roxy was born?
Breckie: (super guilty) uh, yeah
Me: Like when she was still in my tummy?
Breckie: (even guiltier) um hmm
Me: Do you love Roxy?
Breckie: (guiltiest) yeah
Me: What do you love about her?
Breckie: Well... (sigh).............. nothing.
Jan 15th: MLK day
Everett's drawing from school. He's been on a bully kick lately.
Maybe a little too much Captain Underpants and Wimpy Kid??
Jan 17th: Roxy being Roxy
She's like a tornado.
Jan 18th: A reminder at work to CHASE my dreams/goals.
Jan 19th: Chasing my goals. While multi-tasking #momlife
Jan 20th: Roxy learns to put her fingers in her ears.
Jan 21st: Check on the house. Maybe dream of a home studio. Take pictures with the white walls.
Jan 22nd. Download Lightroom. Get discouraged (again x's 1,000). Take more practice pictures with our rental house white walls.
Also, make messes at the park, after school pickup, homework, snack, play, waiting to go to work. We slightly feel homeless and super ANXIOUS to live in our new town.
Jan 23rd. Breckie and I get haircuts. Breckie smacks her chin on a wood coffee table. Blood, screaming, tears, bruised gums.
Jan 24th. Park park park, play play play.
Eating ice cream cones in the car until we fall asleep. The only naps we get are in the car on the way to pick up Everett #somuchdriving More playing at the park until I go to work and Jake gets off.
Jan 25th
It's 80 degrees already. Cute Roxy, messy Roxy, Breckie on Roxy's bike...
...AND GIRLS NIGHT!
I hadn't been to a girls night in an entire year so my friend Jessica sent out some texts and made one happen just so I could feel the love. 😘
