A Touch Of Tyrell

I felt pretty bad about not doing cool things with the kids for the first week of Spring break (although we still had fun, Jake was sick, and we played with friends) so I planned some actual things to do for the second week.  We took a big, long bike/scooter ride on the QC trail. It was actually quite successful with minimal complaining and the weather was great! Everett rode all 5 miles on his scooter.  We had pizza afterwards and I must have thought it was so successful that we didn't "do" anything again until Friday (besides free cone day and having friends over to play).  Friday we went exploring a little. We found this really beautiful place along the salt river. There were little tiny cabins and a horse corral and it was gorgeous.  Plus it was still pretty early in the morning (9 am) with the morning glow of the sun and it was crisp out still. There were sprinklers watering the lawn next to the river and it was Heavenly.  W...

It seems like Roxy has turned a corner and has arrived at the terrible twos.  (She was saying "no, no" while coloring on the walls) I guess it's to be expected.  She likes to play with things that Breckie likes... which means that Breckie (basically) throws fits too which is super fun because Breckie doesn't even touch Roxy and so Roxy touching Breckie's things is like the worst possible thing on the planet.  But it is endearing (as a parent) to see one child want to be like the other.  Roxy's hair has been pretty epic lately. Bed head, baby mullet! And just to keep things classy around here, we play in the piles of dirt in the street in front of our house. In boy pajamas.  But here are pictures of Roxy (dressed) and playing with her friend that doesn't mind if she touches her... ... well, maybe :)

Well, folks. Prayers are answered.  I can't tell you how many times I have prayed about something related to photography + me and Heaven has answered my plea.  I feel so grateful that something that I think about and pray about and dream about on the daily is actually happening!!! I mean look at these! And even if these are the wild unicorn pictures that are such a rarity, I'll take it! I'm a perfectionist and I want to be amazing right away, so it has been hard for me to feel so uncomfortable and out of my natural comfort zone... but it is paying off.  It also helps that the Harrison family is GORGEOUS! And their outfits were flawless. Also, now I need to cut my hair just like Emily's :) Also, Emily gets mad props for walking in those heals! We even got a few amazing smiles from baby Bruce!
