I Can't Get Enough Of You Baby

I love you I love you I love you I love you

Falling

I finally let go of Summer and started decorating for Fall last Monday. I had a lot of fun and didn't spent one penny. Okay okay, I did buy the fabric for the pillows.... . . . . I recovered the bench again.... this time with a funky 70's like fabric. . The new pillows and baby Ev watching some tube. I'm glad that I finally decorated for Fall... it's so nice and cozy in our house now and I love the colors.

1st Boat Ride

We have to hold on to Summer as long as we can. We never know when it will come back! So we went to the lake on Saturday with some friends. It was nice and warm out... Everett got to hang out with some of his friends... and future girl friends. We think he had a good time...

MBA Kid

Meet MBA Kid. Most Blogged About Kid. Or perhaps we should call him NBA kid. Credentials: He is 26 1/2 inches (95%) and weighs 15 lbs (50%). He loves to stand and jump Has two best friends. His pacifier and his jumperoo. Osh Kosh, Okie-dokie, and Circo clothes don't fit him. Only Carters. He wears 6-9 month size jammies and Gerber onesies. (because he is so long) He gets scared when I sneeze. He loves to be outside but gasps for air when the wind blows. (its hilarious) He likes to hear Carrie Underwood sing He is 4 months old! He is loved!

Why We Should Get Fakes

Dear Jake, Remember when we got married and I didn’t buy you the ultra-fancy, new and hip tungsten men’s wedding band? Instead I got you the “I’m 19 and can only afford this jippy thing.” And it’s a good thing… because you lost it a month later. Remember you were in Spanish Fork Canyon framing a house and you and your framing crew decided to take a lunch break . So you went to the creek and jumped off the bridge and rope swing into the water? So for the first 2 years you didn’t have a wedding band and I would always remind you how irresponsible you were. Remember how you got me a really small ring too? It was small because you proposed with ½ ring, ½ dirt bike. And remember the other night when I made you pizza? I didn’t want my little ring to get all sticky with dough… so I put it in the only safe place… my bra. There isn’t much room in there and I thought a tight place was a good place. Well, it looks like you can call me irresponsible for the next two years….. Love, Your Irresponsib...

Chilly

Its getting a little chilly out.

3 Times The Garden

(Everett, only 7 weeks, hangin out with me in our "garden") I planted the garden 3 times this year. The weather was psycho. It would be so absolutely beautiful for a week or so, I would plant, and then it would freeze and kill any dream I had of a garden. A few things survived. (The peas) We got lettuce, peas, potatoes , blueberries, raspberries, rhubarb, and my carrots are still trying to grow big enough to be called carrots. The things that died 3 times: broccoli, cauliflower, radish, onion, and basil. (Bridget looking for raspberries) I can't actually take credit for the blueberries or the rhubarb because they come back every year and I didn't even plant them in the first place. I made strawberry-rhubard cobbler twice and I'm getting ready to make jam with my raspberries. I went to pick some raspberries the other day and some of them have started to mold. Its the wildest thing. Like I said, the weather has been psycho. I have gotten more raspberries in the last...

It's Only Fair

Just another perk of living in our house.... our landlord owns stock in the Puyallup Fair. That means for the second year in a row we have received free tickets in the mail. What a nice lady! We only live about a mile uphill from the fair so we walked down to "Free Our Glee" last night. Our favorite about the fair is Hobby Hall and the mutton bustin. Inside Hobby Hall we got to see the displays by the local farms. My favorite was the fish tank The gigantic pumpkins are always a favorite Right outside of Hobby Hall was Hypno-chick. We would have loved to watch people get hypnotised but the speakers were way loud and she had a raspy smoker voice that was like fingernails on a chalkboard to Jake's ears. Plus, Everett was a little freaked out. After I took the second picture his bottom lip started to quiver. It was cute but sad so we moved on to get an Elephant Ear. (a.k.a. frybread with butter and Cinnamon sugar) Its one of those things that you just have to do at the fair. ...

One Account Continued

I tried falling asleep again but I failed myself. Jake came out into the living room at 6:30 and asked if I was okay. I said "yep I just can't sleep though." "Well, I'm going back to bed. Can you wake me up in half an hour?" I am glad my services as an alarm clock can be rendered! I woke Jake up at 7 and then went to see what Everett was up to. And this is what I saw: I was dying of laughter when he did this next one... He was totally awake just kicking away. I have a feeling he likes it and does it on purpose. When I put him down for his morning nap, he did the exact same thing. He turned himself and kept busy kicking his crib. He is sitting on my lap as I type this and he is kicking the desk and pushing our chair backwards. Who knew babies could be this strong!

I am Tyrell B. Berner. I have insomnia... and a baby. What a winning combination. I was pretty sure Everett had insomnia too. But I read a book called Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and he'll be fine. So I am alone in this battle. I've asked Jake how he falls asleep so fast and easy. He says "I just stop thinking and roll my eyes in the back of my head." Hmmm... With the help of Dr. Weissbluth and a little white noise Everett has been sleeping 12 hours (usually straight) at night. This would be total bliss if I wasn't president of Insomniacs Anonymous. (Perhaps I should start praying to sleep way better than last night ). I tried a little white noise of my own and this is one account of how it didn't work: We took a short walk last night. Jake held Everett in his arm as we walked down the hill towards the mail boxes. Everett was busy looking up at he sky, to the trees, then back to the sky. Jake was telling Everett how much he loved him but if there was on...

Sunny Saturday And SUNday

Saturday was a lot like Friday... except much warmer. We rode out to the ocean again and thought we saw a huge chunk of drift wood.... but it was a seal. It was just laying there. We got off of the quads and it didn't move so we thought it was dead but Jake walked around it and it was totally alive. We raced each other a few times and then went back to camp. Jake's Dad and Brianna went out and the rest of us played Apples to Apples. At the end of the game we always read our cards and they are supposed to describe us... Poor Jake. I was laughing so hard. We decided to go out one last time and it was so incredibly beautiful. The warm salty air and the late afternoon sun made the perfect combination. We were on top of the highest ridge... its hard to tell just how big the dunes are but you can see some other riders in my picture which helps put it into perspective. Sunday morning Everett and I found proof of a Saturday night intruder and went on a long walk while everyone else sle...
