A Touch Of Tyrell

It's wild to think that this is our SIXTH Summer Regional with Edward Jones. This year we stayed at the Westin Kierland something something in Scottsdale. We stayed there for year 2 as well.  We checked in late Thursday afternoon and went straight for the TV... We went to the two hour welcome meeting and then to dinner.  Dinner was GREAT! It was Mexican food with a really great mariachi band, yard games, and all the soda, cookies, and AH-MAZING brownies we could handle. But I didn't get a single picture.  The next morning was the spouses meeting. I'm getting more and more anti-social these days but our table did win a contest so we voted another table's spouses to get their faces painted that night at dinner (with the kids) So that was cool :) I didn't want the kids to just watch TV after my meeting so I made them watch from the balcony above as they fed the resort snake it's mouse.  I also made them go on a little exploratory...

Our real estate agent had an appreciation night and we got to see Incredibles 2! It was really fun and quite the successful evening... besides getting the wrong soda for Everett and subsequent tears 🙀😵 and I did spill soda on my shirt and Roxy's sticky Ring Pop hands ended up in my hair but the $20 Harkins gift card, $25 Red Robins gift card, free popcorn, (free movie), AND a treat baggie of all of our favorite treats more than made up for it! Everett and Jake share a PASSION for seeing movies in the theater (us girls like it too but we'd rather spend our money on clothes and toys 😆) but I'm pretty sure Jake and I are going to be going on weekly dates now so I'm going to guess that we'll be at the theater a lot!

Somehow, in the process of documenting our last month, I failed to post some of the best pictures!!! Our very own Roxy Kate's two-year-old pictures! Taken a few days before she turned two... and posted exactly a month late 🙈 She is so funny and loves to play with the doll house.  She is one little mama for sure. She loves baby dolls and got all kinds of accessories for her babies for her late birthday.  She isn't the best eater but she is getting better (which we are SO THANKFUL!) She loves to climb on the table after she's done eating (her two bites of food), still likes bottles, NO sign of potty training and her vocabulary is amazing.  Her facial expressions are priceless, she says "HEYYYYY" whenever she thinks you might steal her stuff (she learned this at the gym), and lately she wants to check on the other kids before she goes to bed. It's cute. She's cute. We love her so much! ...

Father's Day started Saturday night.  Jake and I went out to Red Lobster.  We had a gift card.  It's funny because the whole time we were waiting we were like "this is where old people come to eat" and other similar comments but then our food came and it changed our minds pretty quickly. It was REALLY GOOD! The waitress said we ordered the two best plates on the menu, so that helps :)  For dessert we both thought the key lime pie looked SO good, but we are total dessert hounds and didn't want to share (or pay $7 each for one bite of key lime pie) so we went to the grocery store on our way home and bought a whole pie 😅 We also bought a whole can of whip cream.  On real Father's Day we swam and ate cookies in the morning.  It's 100% sensory overload with all three kids in the pool and all three wanted to play on/with/right-next-to Jake on his special day :) Imagine: one hanging on you pulling out arm and leg hairs...
