Pumpkins

Jake came home early last night, took me to Jamba Juice, and then we carved pumpkins. I told you he would take care of me! Mine is the one with eye lashes!

Medicine

Jake walked through the front door last night "Hey babe, I have a surprise for you! Do you want to see it?" I yelled from the love sac* He plopped right down next to me and there he saw it. His surprise. The big fat cold sore. "Does it hurt" "Its just ugly....can I have my surprise now?" "Yeah, close your eyes" He ran to his truck and came back, wrestling a bag, trying to retrieve his gift..."Okay, Open your eyes" He was holding up a pink, black, and grey dirtbike shirt. It is very cool. "Dude, that's awesome, where did you get it" "Oh just at a dirt bike shop in Oregon. Can you try it on? Without pants" I Just laughed and laughed and laughed. Laughter is the best medicine. * A love sac is just a giant bean bag And thank you (everybody) for your concern. Jake is home now and promises to take care of me! And we are due at the end of may...in case you were wondering.

Trying To Be Tough

Since early Sunday morning, I have been home alone. I became used to it last November when Jake was gone for 2 months (minus the weekends). I don't really like to be home alone but I tried to keep busy. Sunday afternoon I was feeling a little worse than normal. My skin hurt and my throat felt swollen....but I couldn't really tell if it was just another pregnancy symptom or not. When I was a little girl my mom would always tell me "You could get run over my a steamroller and be fine, but if someone every hurts your feelings, you'll cry and cry and cry." She was right. I was tough....but my feelings are still VERY sensitive. So I tried to be tough and just deal with the constant nausea (never actually throwing up), EXTRA good sniffer, headaches, boob aches, and now a runny/stuffy nose. But I'm tough, I can deal with it. Then I had no one else to take care of me. I had to cook my own meals (cereal and oatmeal) and just be lonely and sick. Last night it all inte...

If Pam Hasn't Told You Yet

Jake and I have had really bad luck with movies lately. We do not have any TV channels(which is killing me) so we do netflix. One of Jake's favorite things to do is watch movies in the theater. We hadn't been in FOREVER and I had a free ticket. We looked online and found one that we thought would be good. IT WAS TERRIBLE. Honestly it was offensive and I couldn't believe it even made it to the theater. Then we had some friends over a few weeks ago and we put in a movie that looked like it would be pretty good. It was also terrible. I jokingly rated it PG married (instead of PG 13) because there was so much stuff I didn't even want to hear of see in that movie....and inappropriate for a 13 year old. So I started renting kid movies. We got Horton Hears a Who the other day. It was pretty good. At least I didn't feel dirty and empty inside at the end of it. Well anyways, there was a part in the movie where Horton's friends wanted to know a secret he had. He told th...

I'm Giving In

With much peer pressure and the desire to be included in conversation with women my age, I have decided that I am going to read Twilight . I am the only female in my office who has not read Twilight . My mom-in-law and sisters-in-law have read them all. They are so obsessed that we have even been to Forks. It is more depressing than Stephenie depicts in the books.

Sydney Australia

Jake is kind-of a big deal. He is so good at his job that he earned up a trip to Sydney Australia next March. I got this picture here We are so excited. The 18 hour plane ride is what might kill me though.

Yabba Dabba Doooo

Saturday, Sitting on my front porch watching the rain come down .....wondering what to do So we went to Spooner Farms (We = Us + Dennis and Crystal) It was muddy there too I love my friends and their funny faces Who is that girl in those AWESOME boots and rolled up pants.... I have style! This guy is why my life is so happy Then we did the sling shots. Little baby pumpkins got shot at this mess. If you hit the target, you got to take home a giant pumpkin. Both Dennis and Crystal shot pumpkins right through the window! Gotta love that face !

Lifeless

This is my fish tank. I made it. There is a fish in there named Earl (bottom left). Everyone that comes into the office loves my fish and his tank. This morning I came over to feed Earl and he died. Yep, belly up. It was a VERY sad day in Tyrell Town. It has happened to me once before and can only happen one more time . (Netquote is still alive and he is our last fish-child) R.I.P. Earl. Born: Sometime in February Died: Sometime this weekend (but we can't be sure)

There Aren't Yellow Raincoats In Eternity

I first met my (potential) Uncle William when Aunt Kristy brought him to the annual Heap Family Reunion. We thought he was cool. When I say "We" I mean my sister Montana and my two cousins Raven and Ciara . We hung out all summer long and usually counted down the days until the reunion. Well, potential Uncle William became my Uncle William and drives trucks for a living. One time he took Aunt Kristy with him on a long journey to Seattle . She came back with a really nice yellow raincoat. I was jealous. I live near Seattle now. I don't have a really nice yellow raincoat. People in Seattle don't wear raincoats or use umbrellas (They are only sold to the tourists). You wouldn't be considered a true Seattlite if you gave into the weather. (Plus it would just be a pain to carry around an umbrella because on days like today, you would get WET regardless of what you were wearing or holding over your head.) Plus, you get used to it. The weather is like this for ...

Its Not Blue Or White

But it is finished!

With Lots Of Love

I present to you the way Jake's Grandma spells my name

Seahawks

For the month of September, Jake was Agent of the month . His prize was 2 club seats at the seahawks game . It was rad You can see how many people are in Quest Field..... pretty much all of them were drinking the $8.50 beer. I wanted to throw up because it smelt so bad as we were leaving. **Right now is were I would normally go off on a tangent on how (stupid, crazy, dumb, weird, disgusting, smelly, ridiculous, and nasty) beer smells and makes people act....but I might offend someone, so I will refrain from stating the obvious. But we won and I got to sport an awesome Am fam hat (so it made the smelly beer drinkers worth it)

A Few Weeks Ago

When we went to Sunkadia a few weeks ago, I picked up some treasures. The pine cones and all of this grass was laying on the wood floor in our entry for a couple weeks. The first week they were laying there I had every intention of making the projects I had in mind for them. When I came to the realization I wasn't going to get it done, I put the pine cones and the grass on top of the washer and dryer (just to get them off of the floor). Then last weekend I was doing laundry and moved everything to the garage. . I wasn't feeling so hot that day and was just hanging out inside. I had made some homemade mac and cheese and went to go find Jake to call him in. I could see him through the front window and went to open the door. I saw that he had done something for me that I had been meaning to do for a while . He had bundled up all of the grass and tied that bow all by himself. I had never told him my ideas for the grass either. (he even picked out the ribbon) He is amazing. . I ...

My Birthday In Review

This guy (above) made me this (in the garage) A few months ago I saw an awesome craft shelf at Michaels. I wanted it badly but it was very costly. So (with a skillsaw) Jake made me one. He made me one with drawers and a ribbon dowel. It is rad. He purposely left in unfinished so I could put "A touch of Tyrell" on it. I was trying on the blue....I think I will make it white. I got to work and found this. Matching gloves, a hat, and slippers waiting on my chair that Jake picked out on his own! Then Tiffany came to work and gave me Gerber daisies and candy corn. She didn't know that I had been craving candy corn for the last month! Jake's family took us out to celebrate. (Jake and Brianna are the only ones that smiled) As The Berner Family, we have a hard time smiling simultaneously . It was a fantastic birthday. Really. I also got ice cream pie at work, a book, snacks, and a scarf from my girls at girls night too.

This was me! (And my brother Wesley in the corner)

On My 23rd Birthday Eve

I think there is a part of me that will stay the same forever and ever. I like my birthday. I REALLY LIKE MY BIRTHDAY! I love checking the mail and getting birthday cards from my family (sometimes they even have money in them!) I just wanted to share my some of my favorite birthday memories (in no particular order) My Junior or Senior year my mom and sister snuck into the school parking lot and filled my crap car full of balloons and decorated the 1983 Subaru beauty. I drove home very slowly because I didn't want to loose a single balloon. My Sophomore year (when I was a cheerleader) I had to cheer on my special day, so my mom surprised me and brought super delicious/homemade cupcakes with pink and white frosted animal cookies to school. Some friends decorated my locker too! When I was pretty small, my Dad came for my birthday (he always came on my birthday) and gave me a cabbage patch doll. We stayed at the Wapati Inn in Durango and ate pizza for dinner. I "spilled" p...

It's Safe To Say

That I'm a dork (a big one) . I get some magazines in the mail. My favorite one is Country Living . Country Living is my favorite one because sometimes it is so unrealistic that it just lets me dream. I tear those dreams out of their binding and put them in plastic sleeves. I then place the dreams in binders. Two of the binders are cookbooks. The first is all of the sweet recipes that I tore out, and the other are real food recipes. The next is gardening stuff. This is the binder which lets me dream the most....of having a beautiful & huge garden out in the country with our farmhouse and barn out back. (Jakes dream would include a dirt bike track in that barn out back). Ironically some of my dreams contradict each other....like wanting to live in down town Puyallup and ride my bike everywhere/have a farmhouse and huge garden out in the country. Perhaps, this is why we call them dreams. The next binder, the biggest one , has craft and decorating ideas that I ripped out and ...

Introducing.....

This weekend was special. It was the first time Jake and I have ever watched all of the General Conference. We are both glad we did. Sunday afternoon we were getting a little restless so we decided to go visit his family. Kaydra was there....she is our Hawaiian niece. She is very tough and has great style (as you can see!). Out in the crisp fall air, she and Jake played catch while "Grandma" (my mother-law and/or Pam) was making chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. We played games, ate lots of food (including dried apple chips that expired Jan 11, 2000), got fat, and were spiritually uplifted this weekend... hope yours was the same! P.S. I saw what Jake was making me in the garage. He can't keep secrets and was too excited to not show me how amazing he is. As for you, you have to wait to see it!

I Think I lost

For the month of September Jake and I had the no spending contest. I think I lost because last Friday I bought some new shoes for work. But I have a feeling that I am going to win for October.....because it is my birthday month. (And Jake might do some gift giving/making) I have a tendency to feel like I am entitled to a birth-week celebration. One day isn't long enough to get everything in. Last night (at girls night) I got a text that said this: I came home (through the front door) and heard banging and loud noises. He is making me something. Only 5 more days until I find out what it is!

Dream, Fruit Balls, & A Funny Story

Last night I dreamt that Jake bought me an American flag (on a stick) to put in the flag holder on our front porch. Too bad it was just a dream. Anyways..... On our walk down to the fair last Saturday, we saw these: Does anyone know what they are? They were about the size of golf balls and were rough. I bit into one (Jake advised me not to, I could have died ). It didn't really taste like anything and the inside was the same color as the outside. They were on a bush/tree right next to the cemetery. While you are thinking about that, I have a funny story . (It's only funny if your name ISN'T Tyrell). Before we moved into this house we had comcast....but we are trying to save $ so we didn't pay to have it hooked up in our new house. So Saturday, right before spotting these mystery fruit balls, a very small sales woman knocked on our front door. Naturally, Jake answered. She was a door-to-door Comcast sales woman asking if a Tyrell Berner lived here. Jake kindly answers ...
