Dishwasher Despacito

Tuesday afternoon went like this:  Jammin' out to Justin Bieber's Despacito while unloading the dishwasher. I can only imagine it's not exactly a kid-friendly song by the few english lyrics... but since we no habla espanol it's fine right?! Everett bustin' move after move while Breckie clanks two spoons together and Roxy dreaming of being as cool as them someday.  Thats the good stuff. The stuff that makes life GOOD. The moments when you know you're living your life the right way.

Library Rocks

Today, when we went to storytime at the library, we saw a rock with a witch riding her broomstick painted on it. The rock was mixed in with other normal rocks. When we were leaving we found three other halloween rocks hiding.  Then we brainstormed about our Halloween dinner. Living in a house that you can't do anything to has left my creative mind hungry. So we decided that on October 1st we'll have a Halloween kick-off dinner. And it will be a new tradition.

Cabin Camping In Payson

Last weekend we went to Payson.  We were all a little excited to pack our suitcases and get out of town! Breckie especially enjoyed packing :)  We had quite the time getting out of town.  On our way out we got word that Jake's office bathroom was flooding...  so we dropped him off there and went to the library, QT for slushies, out to see the framing on our new house, spilled the slushies so we went back to QT, and then back to Jake's office to wait until the problem was fixed. #life By the time we started driving for real, we were ready to eat dinner 😆 But we made it to Payson We went to spend the weekend with some friends at their parents cabin It was dreamy.  The views and fresh mountain air were GREAT.  The first night we sat outside, bundled up, looking at the stars.  We saw 5 shooting stars and I wished on all 5 of them. Not really, but if I did the wishes would probably be: I wish to move to Utah or ...

The Princess Rides A Bike

Breckie's Princess bike sat in our garage for 9 whole months until she decided to ride it.  She only decided to ride it because Jake gave Roxy a ride on it.  She has caught on super quickly but is still faster on her scooter.  The other day Breckie mentioned that she saw an Elena of Avalor bike.  I told her maybe we'll get her one when she outgrows her princess bike.  And then I said "We got your princess bike at Target so maybe they'll have an Elena bike too!" And she says "No, Santa gave me my princess bike!" whoops 🙈

Dewy Spiderwebs

Breckie and I decided that we should decorate for Halloween... since the stores are bursting with Halloween decor... and Thanksgiving AND Christmas.  So we pull out the decorations we had and bought a few more.  We were hanging up a giant spider in our stretched-out cotton spiderweb on the front porch. AND WE WERE SO FREAKING HOT.  It was 8 a.m.  I was so frustrated.  It's just so bleeping hot all of the time. ALL OF THE TIME.  I know I suffer from seasonal depression. I became very familiar with it in WA.  But AZ is not exempt.  Although the sun shines and I can see the blue sky, it depresses me that I can't go out there.  I'm so tired of being hot and sweaty and wearing 40 layers of clothes and seeing how sweaty my kids are when we get in and out of the car and it's hard to entertain them inside all of the time and if we did go somewhere else we'd have to pay some sort of 'admission' fee (movies, bounce house, c...

All 3

These are just the best 😆

Breckie Is 4.5

Breckie is four and a half now.  She's like a good sunset. Moody and beautiful and you just can't stop taking pictures.  She is super fun, hilarious, explosive, and smart.  She is very noncommittal. She's a natural dancer but has never taken more than a trial dance class (her choice)... but then talks about 'her' dance class as if she goes every week.  I'm super worried for Kindergarten next year because she keeps talking about how she ALREADY went to school (a few weeks of preschool last year until she 'dropped out') as if it's supposed to be a one time thing! Thats okay... because she clearly has a thing for modeling 😆 She loves stuffed animals and 'Uni' is her favorite. Uni goes everywhere with us. She loves to watch Bo on the Go and similar cartoons, she is master of the stink eye and cold shoulder, LOVES crafts, collecting junk, baking, painting fingernails, wearing her ...
