Thanksgiving

Jake and I worked extra hard (for multiple days) to get thanksgiving dinner just right.  Turned out to be a WHOLE lotta work with a few disappointments.  Regardless of our edible fails, we are so Thankful.

Neighborly Fun

This is my life. Everyday.  Loving, mediating, teaching, stressing, sweating, laughing, feeding.

Jake's Truck Gets Stolen & My Heart Shatters

I know that this year has been pretty intense for most people... us included.  I can't really tell what's been a blessing, a curse, a misfortune. a lesson, an opportunity for growth, etc.  Have you ever heard of the Chinese Farmer? Jake actually read it one Sunday to the family. 2nd Grade Success

Breckie has grown SOOO much this school year in her reading and writing.  She's struggled the last 2 years but something finally clicked and it's great! And her drawings are always so cute and clever!

Night Fun

For the past two Monday evenings we've played hide-and-seek in the dark behind our house. It was Everett's idea and it was so fun. So yesterday we invited another family and it was extra fun.  Then we took the kids on a jeep ride with the top off and out for ice cream. On the way home we went for a fun/crazy ride and all the kids were like  "stop Dad!"  "I have a headache"  "Dad, why are you doing that" And then I thought: are these kids even mine?!?!?!???! (they're all kind-of whiners/anti-fun havers!) But of course they are my kids 😊
