Halloweeeen!

Halloween is extra fun when you're husband is extra cool and you have kids that look forward to it for months.  Breckie was the cutest little Queen Elsa Everett was the coolest Captain America And Roxy was the craziest gymnast ever.  They were so excited to trick-or-treat and get lots of candy. I was excited to sneak into their candy buckets after they went to bed 😆 Breckie wanted to take a picture with Roxy! (Halloween makes you extra sweet I guess :) And Jake 😍 The most perfect Wolverine of all time! He's seriously the coolest guy ever.

Halloween Season

All month we've been doing fun Halloween-y activities.  We made 50 ghost suckers to donate to the hospital. Grandma Berner sent activities for the kids 👌 Breckie ripped open her package to find a Halloween card with $$ inside, a color by numbers page and a scarecrow to color and assemble. She immediately got out her watercolors and started painting. (Grandma is so smart!) Everett and Roxy each got a card and package too :)  Breckie and I made pumpkin roll 😋 Everett was Harry Potter for his Literature Day Parade.  We LOVED checking out neighborhood decorations.  We carved pumpkins (Shelly ate the leftovers and pooped 5 times the next day 😆) We made a haunted ghost castle. We decorated our house. Made Halloween crafts. Set out our pumpkin patch.  And Everett wrote a Halloween story in speech. I think it's a pretty great story although he says he's not done yet.  ...

Halloween Dinner #5

Have I ever told you how fancy we are?! Well, We're like super fancy. So fancy we serve dinner on red plastic plates, THE MICROWAVE PLATE!!!, and we serve jello molds for dessert 😆 We had Frankenstein bean dip, jackolantern quesadillas, and jello brains ("Jelloween" as Breckie called it 😂) This was the final Halloween dinner and we had a lot of fun creating and eating them. I'm sure this will have to be a tradition.

October

Octobers in the Desert are less than admirable. In fact, October does a pretty good job and crushing my soul and spoiling (almost) everything that is good in life.  I've had a tough go these last few months (and by 'few' I mean like 9-12).  We've been through a lot and there has been a fair amount of change in our lives that would cause anyone to skip a beat, but it's been a little more than that for me.  I went to see a therapist a few times and I've read a library full of books on various subjects relating to me.  I feel broken and there is something inside of me that needs fixing.  I recognize that we are still in the difficult years. And yes, I know, all of the years have their challenges but having three small kids who depend on you for EVERYTHING is pretty hard (at least for me). We are still on the brink on really 'making it', I miss real seasons and weather but don't have a choice to move, and I feel like at any m...
