Kinland Farms

I was worried our kids wouldn't be interested in going to a farm and picking out pumpkins.  We took them anyways and everyone had a good time.  The farm was super pretty.  The country store was worth a look too! Everett's friend, Gavin, had stayed the night and came to the farm with us too.  The girls played on all the things, we bought pumpkins, caramels, cookies... ... and then went home and had some soup! I hope my kids are never too old for picking out pumpkins at the farm!

McCormic-Stillman Railroad Park

One day, while the Morris family was here, we went to the trail park.  Once, we took the kids, YEARS ago when we were coming home from an Edward Jones Regional meeting. But it was the end of June.  We lasted 7 minutes.  It was way too hot.  So this was basically our first time being there.  We played at the parks, rode the train, ate lots of ice cream and played some more.  The weather was ideal and it was such a fun memory to make as a family.  We had some some with Brianna, Michael, Haley & Porter while they were here.  Roxy has been asking where her friend with the brown hair is! And the whole family agrees that Breckie and Haley look more like sisters that Breckie and Roxy! Funny how genetics work!

Jeeping

Our life just seems so crazy. Probably because it is.  I guess we like for life to so busy and full.  I drive an older mini van that has a million miles, scratches, stains & rips on/in it and I am totally fine with it. We decided that the day when all of our kids could get in and buckle/unbuckle themselves I would upgrade.  We were nearing that time and Jake was asking what kind of vehicles I like. I gave him a list of some and we must just be #younganddumb still because we found a Jeep we both loved and just bought it.  I wasn't really even ready to say goodbye to the COMPLETELY convenient minivan that we could totally beat up on. But I don't know, sometimes we just do things I guess.  The kids are absolutely in love and the neighbor kids almost died when they got to ride in it. It's super fun! We bought it the day before we left for Colorado so we hadn't been able to play with it yet.  Jake found a Jeeping road about 30 minutes for our house that led ...

First Time To Powell

In all my years in Utah, Arizona & Colorado I'd never been to (or even seen) Lake Powell. Bridget, the youngest of us girls, has been dreaming of taking her bridal pictures at Lake Powell for years. Lucky for me, I was invited along to help take some pictures.  Friday morning I drove to Page, AZ where my mom had rented an Airbnb for the weekend. We didn't waste any time. We went to a local paddle boarding shop and asked for the best place to paddle board and how to get there.  A leathery 'old' man with piercing blue eyes gave us directions and a map. He told us about a really cool place between the rocks where you can paddle back for a while.  I couldn't stop oooooooohing and ahhhhhhing at how beautiful all was.  The rocks, sky, color of water, and the natural beauty of it all (although I guess it is a man-made dam??).  We just go right in and started paddling.... and talking.... and totally messing up all the directions the leathery man with blue eyes gave ...
