Nostalgia

I love going to Arby's and I think 85% of it has to do with nostalgia. We went to Arby's ALL of the time when were kids.  In fact, all of the kids cups we owned were "kid meal toys" from one Summer.  I can only assume that IHOP will be where some of Breckie's favorite food memories are. She has been asking (nicely) for a while so we finally went today after the gym.  We went to IHOP a lot when I was pregnant with Roxy and only a few times when she was a baby. Now that Roxy is a terror we don't really like to go anywhere. She is seriously so awful. I'm embarrassed to take her places.   But I took one for the team and let Breckie's love for country omelets, pancakes, and strawberry syrup grow!

Halloween Dinner #5

Have I ever told you how fancy we are?! Well, We're like super fancy. So fancy we serve dinner on red plastic plates, THE MICROWAVE PLATE!!!, and we serve jello molds for dessert 😆 We had Frankenstein bean dip, jackolantern quesadillas, and jello brains ("Jelloween" as Breckie called it 😂) This was the final Halloween dinner and we had a lot of fun creating and eating them. I'm sure this will have to be a tradition.

Halloween Dinner For Four ;)

Halloween Dinner 4 was mini mummy pizzas, spider deviled eggs, and ghost cookies!

Halloween Dinner 3

Halloween dinner #3 was mummy dogs, banana ghosts, spider celery, with dirt and worms graveyard for dessert.  I'm pretty sure the kids are going to love me forever :)

Halloween Dinner 2

Halloween dinner #2 was mini spider pizzas and mint oreo mummies.

French Silk Pie

Breckie and I made Pioneer Woman's French silk pie while the whole family watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional.  It was one of those super rare, dreamy moments that every mom wishes happened more often!

Some Sugar & Lots of Spice

Making pumpkin pie with my homie.  I didn't even regret the mess we made. I hardly ever do.  She's a pro. In fact, it's best to make things when it can just be Breckie and I. She gets a little stingy about who helps... she wants to do it all.  It turned out good too. I'm pretty sure it was eaten for breakfast the next morning :)

Two Little Turkeys

Two little turkeys... ...and some mummy dogs and carrot fries.

Bored Treat

The kids were bored and Breckie wanted to make something. Everett wanted it to be a treat (shocker!).  So Everett made a shopping list, we bought our stuff, and made our treats.  Marshmallows and pretzel rods covered in white chocolate and mini m&m's. They turned out great... but I guess you can't really screw up a 3-ingredient treat!

Berry Good :)

Strawberries were 75 cents so we made some jam. We had literally just used the last of our homemade jam that morning for Everett's daily pb&j sandwich.  We made 7 jars of jam and had enough strawberries left over for strawberry rhubarb cobbler. Jake and I ate the whole thing within a day :) Because that's how we dessert in this house!
