Everett.  Oh Everett.  What am I going to do with you? You are 3.  You are so adorable. You are terrible. And whiny, naughty, loud, emotional, naughty, terrible, whiny, and whiny and mean and terrible.  You are 3.  For two nights in a row I've had to lock you in your bedroom because you've been so naughty. You bang on your door and scream so loud that the pictures on your wall are crooked in the morning.  You are 3.  You won't go to bed. You won't nap. You wake up at 5:30 every morning.  You are 3.  All you eat is cereal. Or peanut butter and jelly... but "NO PEE-WEE-BOW-EEE!!! (peanut butter)" Sometimes you'll eat "chick-eee-nug-eeeeees"  Anytime there is something healthy on your plate you say "NO THIS" You are 3.  You used to be good at coloring in the lines.  Now you just scribble. Like a baby.  But you are 3.  You were the 'star student...

Growing Up With Each Other

When we moved out here everyone said that one of the perks was that you could see the stars at night.  So last night I went out there to check 'em out.  I could find the big dipper... and that was about it. I've never been good at finding constellations. But being outside last night made me have a flashback to my childhood.  My sister and I sleeping out on the trampoline... sometimes with our cousins... laughing and joking, telling stories, talking, pointing out constellations and watching shooting stars.  Growing up with my sister was torture sometimes.  But thinking about growing up without her would have been far worse. All of my favorite childhood memories are with her. She was (and is) the best. My life would seem empty without her.  (WHAT!!?!?!!??! was going on with my bangs!!!) Breckie may never have a sister and Everett might not ever have a brother but at least they have each other...

Your Late Anniversary Card

Dear Jake, You probably fell out of love with me today.  I let you sleep in for 3 hours after the kids woke up.  I did yesterday's dishes.  I fed Everett breakfast. Twice. I read him scriptures.  I fed Breckie a bottle. Then I made her some green beans and tried to feed her those.  Fail.  Mess.  I made super healthy muffins.  I cleaned the kitchen. Again.  I bathed Everett.  And then Brecklyn. I got them dressed for church.  And then you woke up and casually strolled down the stairs, thank me for letting you sleep in, and then asked what kind of muffins I made.  But you were greeted with an angry woman. Your wife. Who actually said " you're not welcome yet " (when you thanked her for letting you sleep in).  Wow. She's mean.  This is the same wife that is THE. WORST! backseat driver you've ever known. Probably the worst the world's ever known.... and you just joke that y...

Good Times At The Park

There's a big, neighborhood park a few streets down from our house.  We've had a few good times there so far. In fact, that's where we stopped and sat down and wrote a pros and cons list about the houses we liked. We didn't know which one to put an offer on. I liked one and Jake like the other.  I won. He's glad.  (The other house had orange granite and white carpet... but it had a sprinkler system and a drive through garage) But back to the park. Last Saturday:  Good times.

Sibling Love

Since the day Everett was born I've been anxious for him to have a sibling.  I think that there's a special love that can only be felt between siblings.  I don't know if they feel that love yet or not... but these pictures actually make me cry a little bit.  These two are so sweet and they're everything that's important to me (+Jake). I feel so blessed to have them... it brings me to tears sometimes.

5 Months... Two Teeth

Little Miss Breckie is somethin' special.  I'm not sure there are words for her kind of special. But I'll try. Or maybe you'll just see.  She's just straight up awesome.  She can push herself up a little on her arms: Blow a spit bubble: Sit like a big girl in a shopping cart: Feed herself with a spoon:  (Not really) She likes to play cars: She also like to pretend she's the Green Lantern: She looks like an angel when she sleeps: I thought I'd try to get a picture with something other than the phone:  ... and she woke up. That's okay, she likes being awake :) Although she is 5 months and should be sleeping through the night she isn't. Still wakes up 1 or 2 times in 12 hours to eat. She's just too sweet of a baby to make her cry.  She is very grabby and loves to play with toys. She pretty much plays with all of the...
