Everett's 'Service Project'

Everett's friend Rhett is sick with pneumonia so we thought we should take his family dinner.  Everett helped me make dinner and checked on it several times. When I picked him up from school he reminded me that we were cooking dinner for Rhett and then said we should make him cookies too. I wonder why Everett wanted to make him cookies :) Everett is such a cute kid. I'm so glad he's mine.

Three, Four, & Almost Five

Jake and Everett + their two friends went riding on Saturday. Seeing all 6 boys in one truck pulling a trailer with 2 quads and a dirtbike was pretty cute.  How cute are they! Jake has been dying to do things like this FOREVER and I'm so glad he was finally able to do it. They all had a great time and the little boys passed out on the way home. Hopefully they can do it again sometime! Breckie and I stayed home and made curtains. Maybe in a few years we'll go too :)

These Are The Moments I Enjoy

I can't say I've enjoyed every. single. moment of motherhood, but I enjoy SO much of it. (Like making cookies with Everett and picnics at the park.)  I feel like we are scrambling to get Everett to school on time every day.... no matter what time we start getting ready. One day this last week I just had to put them in the car even though they weren't fed or dressed yet. They both ate on the way to school and then I changed Everett real quick in the parking lot. It wasn't my finest hour but we got to school on time with full tummies and clean clothes.  Breckie and I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and I realized that I forgot to grab shorts for her... so we put on Everett's dirty shorts! She rocks anything she wears so it wasn't a big deal :) Everett was such a high maintenance baby and toddler and every moment he was awake we were playing together or out on some adventure. So I'm used to not getting anything done while...

Preschool Pic

This picture cracks me up! It's Everett's school picture from the speech therapy school he goes to. That's totally his super cute, shy, 'I-don't-really-know-you' half smile. Everett is talking so well these days and is saying new words everyday. It's exciting and an answer to many prayers. He still calls Jake and I 'boys' or 'guys' and sometimes he even calls me Tyrell which I think in hilarious. He got two gold stars taken away from his chart at his other preschool for telling his teacher 'NO' I talked with that teacher for a long time after preschool one day about Everett and getting him to stop telling us NO and getting him to eat... I know that Everett was listening and knows what we were talking about because every night since that conversation he's eaten at least one thing on his dinner plate (including a few bites of meat) and this is a HUGE HUGE deal! Lately, after everything Everett says he'll say, '...

GRRRRR....Eight Months

Breckie is eight months old.  She can sit, crawl, plank, stand, squat, hold a bottle, cry, laugh and GROWL. She's been growling for months and months and months but I keep forgetting to mention it. We have "growling" conversations and it's fantastic. I have one recorded on my phone.  People are always surprised to hear her growl because she's such a cute little person! Can you see the bottom of that pencil sharpener in mid-air? It's because she likes to throw toys and then go and get them... she kind-of plays catch with herself... and she growls?!! (But she's not a puppy!) I didn't really take very many pictures of her this month. I think it's because she's getting so much harder to take pictures of. These were about 3 weeks ago... I didn't post them because they weren't anything extra special.... although I could swear the third picture down is a picture...
