A Touch Of Tyrell

They've been gone for over 2 weeks but it's still worth mentioning that three of my siblings and my mom came to visit us for their Spring break. Everett was so excited… and I knew he would be… so I didn't even tell him that they were coming until the day before.  We went to the mall, out for ice cream, to the temple, to the splash pad and to Jake's company picnic while they were here.  It was the classic balloon-tying-face-painting-bounce-house-hamburgers-hotdogs kind of picnic.  Breckie got a Minnie Mouse balloon headband. She actually kept it on for a long time.  Braxton ended up with some crazy awesome alien.  There were a few rounds of tug-of-war... … Breckie and I even got a little cartoon drawing of us.  It was really nice to have my family here for a visit. They've come to visit at least 8 or 9 times since we've lived in AZ and it's been great! Effie graduates from high school in May so we'll travel...

Everett is starting to write his name VERY well and draw pictures. It's the best thing ever! I honestly wasn't even in the same room when he wrote his name. It is flawless!!  And he drew our family too. What a sweet boy!!

We made our way up to Glendale for an Easter picnic with my Dad and Kelly yesterday morning. We had SUCH a good time. My Dad gave a little Easter lesson and then we headed to the park for a picnic.  My Dad has fond memories of his family Easter picnics when he was a kid. He said that some years they would have it in the desert and some years it was in the mountains but every year they had fried chicken and baked beans.  Well, we didn't have fried chicken and baked beans but we did have a delicious lunch and an egg hunt afterwards.  Breckie got a thorn stuck in her shoe so she abandoned her bucket and played on the slide with her Grandparents instead. Meanwhile, Everett was busy counting his eggs…. Later we went across the street and fed the ducks… and pigeons, fish, geese, and turtles!
