Glowing Ocotillos

I always tell myself I'm not going to stop my mountain bike ride to take pictures but I always do.  Spring in the Desert is so amazing. I really love it and I'm trying extra hard to enjoy it without thinking of the next two seasons. Summer and Fall are like the devil here 😅 But the Spring is Heaven. Everything seems to be blooming in quick successions so it's always pretty and colorful. The ocotillos are one of my favorites. They seem to glow when the sun hits them just right.  P.S. I love pulling up to the parking lot and then rolling my bike out of my mini van while I ride in my rode bike shorts, a regular T-shirt, my gym shoes, a bright pink drawstring backpack with my keys and phone inside and my trusty Ross sunglasses.  I look everything but legit but I passed 4 people the other day so that's always a confidence booster :)

From Today

Everett off to school Front yard maintenance with a baby helper Breakfast Gym Grocery store* Play Lunch Nap time  Backyard maintenance  Play princesses Sponge bath School pickup* Snack Play Jake comes home Dinner FHE- super quick Easter discussion  Freeze tag in the backyard* Bedtime The highlights* Grocery store.  Roxy is always a star at the grocery store. I'm sure most babies are. She held on to the bell pepper for me and ate part of the stem. She cried big time when we had to give it away for a second so we could buy it :) Breckie was walking through the produce and says "Mmmmm, I smell tomatoes!" She loves her tomatoes. And then we bought neon gummy worms like we always do 😆 School pickup. On the way to pick up the boys Breckie says "Mom, I lifted myself up like this so I could get my fart out" 😂 On the way home from pickup we were talking about dreams and Everett told us about his bad dream. ...

Backyard Campout

Should we talk about how Jake is so awesome and camped out in the backyard with the kids?! He even hauled the TV out there and we watched a movie and then they slept out there while I was on Roxy duty for the night.

Everyday Outfits

It takes a little bit of persuading sometimes to make sure Breckie is wearing something decent.  Today her outfit was just too good to change.  She was wearing her "pink dancer outfit",  kitty slippers (one is named Sparky and the other Twitcher), fox socks (ordered straight from China :), and her "fuzzy sweater"... and yesterdays braids.  (She was doing bunny hops) Her side smirk/smile is so perfect! Roxy wanted in on the action :) Breckie can do a REALLY good ballerina trick on the trampoline but she did it after the camera battery died.  I'll have to get a picture of it soon because it's legit.  Yesterday she told me she doesn't even like dance class... which is totally fine because she doesn't even go 😂 She went to two different free trial classes and that's it.  She just likes to look the part and wear her dancer outfits :)

Happy & Healthy

Luckily, thankfully, the weather has been SO nice lately. Nice cool mornings. Great afternoons.  I've been extra thankful for the good weather because Roxy has been living in the stroller and bike trailer. She needs to be moving ALL of the time to be happy. Or in my arms.  She's been having ear infections and fevers... all part of being a baby and growing up. Hopefully soon she can be happy and healthy.

Am I Kidding Myself?

I feel like any day now life won't be so hard.  But I know I'm just kidding myself.  Three kids is kicking our butt. Both of us. And it's not just three kids  ... it's OUR three kids. That's what I tell myself anyways.  Every night I feel like I've just got a beating of a lifetime.  Before, when Roxy was just a few months old, a friend asked me how it was going and I responded that it was good. Too good, in fact.  And now it's bad. Which can only mean one thing... things are going to get better. At least I hope 🙏

Spring in the Desert

Mountain biking in the Spring is one of the great parts of living here! And I'm being serious. No April fools here!
