Coming 'home' to a temporary house you've never seen with all of your stuff in it was.... actually fine. I felt bad that I didn't help move any of it but there was plenty to still be done and unpacked.  Jake earned his 'super dad' award while working, getting Everett to and from school, un-packing a house, and cooking and cleaning all alone. There was some major grocery shopping and organizing to be done and he was SO grateful to have some real dinner cooked when I got home.  One of the first things we did was check out our new house. Most of the stuff that was done while we were in WA were the permits so we wanted to get a picture of us and our dirt lot before anything was built.  There is currently plumbing and a foundation. It's been there for 3 weeks just waiting for framing. They were delayed a few weeks from the heat, rain, and a major storm that came through the neighborhood and ripped some houses apart so framing should start n...

I was in survival mode the last two weeks.  Because of the prior rental house we had lined up, we changed our flights to stay two more weeks. But then it fell through and our real estate agent found us a rental that we could move into earlier.  So Jake and Everett came home as planned.  They came back to a dust storm and major rain and some flooding.  They moved our stuff from the storage unit into the house and started school all without me.  I felt helpless and weird but we still didn't find any sense in paying to change the flights.  So we just hung out in Washington. Roxy tried to go swimming by herself several times. She was always climbing in and on everything.  Breckie discovered the iPad and watched lots of shows. Took a few baths.  We played all that we could and then played some more.  Roxy was queen of mischief the whole time.  We went shopping once. And on...
