We were all thinking about going to Longbeach and then Mariah (one of Jake's sisters) mentioned they were having a sandcastle competition this certain weekend so the whole family planned on going.
It was pretty cool. We all had a good laugh looking at the mermaid creature:
It's 10,000 times better than I could ever do, but it was still funny :)
This next one was my favorite. It was titled Reverse Safari.
After we looked at all the castles we went to Cape Disappointment for a picnic lunch and to play in the water.
Everett LOVES the ocean and was so excited!
To watch Everett and Jake play in the water was the best. They are both huge fans of the ocean and had such a great time playing in the waves.
Breckie and Maleah were having fun playing in the sand for a while before they got in the water. They were such good friends.
Roxy was the happiest playing in the sand.
Thankfully Grandpa helped Breckie catch some waves :)
I forgot my swimsuit bottom... luckily a pair of Everett's shorts substituted just fine 😆
I (obviously) had a good time taking pictures and watching our kids have so much fun.
Everett would have swam all night if he could have. The tide was coming in and everyone was packing up to head home.
He was very reluctant to get out of the water so we stayed behind and swam for a little longer. The water that was left more inland from the previous high tide was SO warm. Breckie and Roxy had a great time splashing in there while Everett played in the waves.
This trip to Longbeach was definitely the highlight of the trip! We all had so much fun and it was great to be with the whole family.
Everett was so sad to leave but he was also exhausted!
The weather had be GREAT. We could have hardly asked for a better day with the family.
The rest of the family headed back home and we went the opposite direction to Oregon. We were headed to see my sister.
(These two fell asleep in no time!)
