The Grownups Go To Disneyland

One of our friends works at the Disney store and had tickets that were expiring soon... so we went. Three couples, no kids. It was JUST what we needed after the high stress of moving.

Well, in a way it added to the stress of moving but it was worth it :)

We moved a truck load on Friday night and two on Saturday and then left for Disneyland Sunday afternoon. My mom and Grandma came to take care of the kids and live in our house of boxes.

Monday morning we woke up early and waiting in line for the park to open. We got to go on so many rides without waiting long at all. It was pretty chilly and the water ride even had fog.

the boys went on it. Us girls watches as countless rafts got dumped on and people walked off soaking wet. The boys... they were pretty much completely dry.

Other things worth noting... I beat Jake at the toy story ride. Then he beat me like 6 times at the buzz lightyear ride!

The only serious request I had was to get ice cream at the Ghiradelli shop. So I had a double scoop for lunch. And froze. The high was only 62 degrees.

That night we went on the Indiana Jones ride. We were one jeep away from getting off and the ride broke. We're SUPER thankful that we got to ride it before it broke. Then it started raining and we had to walk a mile in the rain to make it to our dinner reservation at Steakhouse 55.

My toes were freezing. Wet and cold isn't my most favorite feeling :)

The next day we wore warmer clothes. And Jake got pretty sick. We even had to stop by the first aid station twice.

So we took the day a little slower. And by slower, I mean I made him ride It's a Small World :)

We had lunch at something something Orleans and ordered the infamous Monte Carlo 'sandwich'. It was amazing. And so was the haunted house. I had never been on that ride before and it was legit.

We looked in shops, picked out souvenirs for our peeps back home and couldn't stop being grateful that we didn't have a stroller!!

Besides my personal favorite (space mountain) I think our favorite ride was the Guardians of the Galaxy even though it made us sick every time. It was worth it.

The next morning was Valentines day. We woke up later, ate breakfast at Denny's and spent all of our dollars buying souvenirs. It was worth it too... we couldn't come home to our kids empty handed!

We had so much fun and our so thankful for Grammy taking care of the kids and for our friends for taking care of us :)
