Life As We Knew It.

Life as we knew it is slowly coming back. The gym opened back up, Roxy's dance class, and Roxy's little gym.  But there is still plenty of time spent at home.  Roxy did my makeup one afternoon :) We've been able to get out to some stores but most of them are wiped out. Everything is gone because we're all out shopping now! We got the flower girl dresses in the mail and Roxy was a HUGE fan. She wore hers for the rest of the day.  She felt like a princess! I photographed a wedding last week and although I get anxiety leading up to it, it was so nice to be there and improve my wedding skills. The pictures turned out amazing and I'm so grateful they did! Also, I got an email from the school district and (as of now) school is going to start on time and be "normal"! We only have about 6 weeks of Summer vacation left!!!!!

"Everything is Canceled" Trip

All of our trips with Edward Jones were canceled for the year. That left us with a VERY open summer with still nothing really to do.  Jake was going on a boys trip for the week after Mother's Day so the rest of us decided to get out of town and cool off (it ALREADY was in the 100's 😡) One of the major routes to Colorado was closed so we had to go through Flagstaff... luckily it only adds 30 minutes and it was nice to see a little different scenery on the drive.  The kids did absolutely amazing on the drive. It's because Everett sat up front :) I've been wanted to stop at the Colorado sign for so long but it's always at night. This time we got to see it in the daylight. Too bad the 4-corners monument nearby was closed :( The kids still had schoolwork to do everyday, but it wasn't a big deal.  Everett told me not that long ago that he wanted to live on a little farm. So he had a week of "farm work" ahead of hi...

Two Summers

Summer break is going to seem SO. MUCH. LONGER. than usual.  I am trying so hard to keep everyone busy. We've been swimming:  getting dressed: playing: painting and passing out: playing legos: Trying new recipes: picking up trash at the park: picking flowers at the park: dressing up and painting nails: going for rides and playing at the park: drinking sparkling water: watching our lemon & limes grow: being DESPERATE to get out of the house... walking around Costco looking for books to read: and eating: It's been rough. I get a lot of anxiety having my kids home (because I can't keep them all happy/content/entertained) and that stresses me out. Plus we haven't been able to go anywhere.  The neighbors are over all of the time (which helps and doesn't help all at the same time).  Not having the gym open has been tough. I've been a...
