Little Dancer

About half way through Kindergarten Roxy joined a dance class.  She really loved it and it was right up her ally... it was more of an interpretive type of dance. The recital was in May and she did so good! We were super proud of her! *These are pictures from the rehearsals* *she's the only one in blue The sign up for this year was a few weeks ago and at the last minute she decided not to sign up. Even though I was confident she loved the interpretive style, she said she wanted to do the type of dance with costumes.  She's also in Gymnastics so I actually don't know if I'll even put her in dance unless she asks incessantly. She's pretty tired by the end of the week with all-day school anyways. But I didn't want to forget about the year she did interpretive dance!

Dance Camp

Breckie got to go to a dance camp with Faith the first week of Summer.  She really loved it and it was fun to see her perform the dances she learned.

Spark Dance

Little Roxy Roo had her third recital last weekend.  The big kids finally got to come (covid prevented more than two people per dancer) and it was so fun to see Roxy dance on stage. She did a little tap number with her class and danced more than she has the two previous recitals 🙌 I really love that she dances and I'm glad she enjoys it.  I gave her class options for next year and she picked a "pom & tumble" class for next year. I was super worried because it was on Wednesdays RIGHT after school.... and she will have full day kinder. BUT a week after I signed her up, the school district announced that EVERY Wednesday will be a half day! So it works out super perfectly.  Breckie is going to take beginning ballet for 8+ and Everett is signed up for 11+ teen hip hop. I'm actually quite excited about this! We'll see if the older two make it more than a few weeks!!

Dancing Buddy

There happens to be several little girls that Roxy gets to play with at dance, the gym, and preschool (or two out of the three). It's fun to see her make little friendships.  We don't have playdates and friends over like we did for the older two because we are busy with extra things now. I feel a little guilty about it but it's also a relief. She has plenty of friends around and she'll go to Kindergarten in July and make even more friends!

Tiny Dancer

Roxy loves her dance class.  Since the whole COVID thing we aren't really allowed to watch them dance (which it totally cool and I love running errands while she's there anyways) so I don't even know if she pays attention or not, but she looks forward to it and loves to get her sticker afterwards! She loves to get dressed up in the tights & leotard...  If the town has a Christmas parade this year, she'll be able to ride on the dance studio float. I hope they do because it was so fun seeing Everett in it last year! I'm cherishing Roxy's last year with me before she starts Kindergarten, she's my little buddy and I will miss her next year!!!

Dance AND Tumbling

Roxy has been enjoying dance and it's cute to watch her. Sometimes she doesn't dance and just stands there and a few times she has just sat down 🙈 but as long as she'll go and likes it, I'll continue to take her :) A friend convinced us to try out tumbling too. She's an even bigger fan of tumbling! She's only gone twice but I can tell she thinks it's the coolest thing ever.  She's been super worn out lately. Between preschool, dance, tumbling, running errands and going to the gym with me, it's about all she can handle!

Roxy Starts Dance

Roxy is such a fun, cute little girl. I thought she'd enjoy dance class so I signed her up after the new year. She's only gone 3 times, but she loves it and I LOVE that she loves it! She is brave and adorable. She just walked right in, danced and played, hung on the bars, twirled like a ballerina, and was doing somersaults like the best of them.  It took the first few classes for her to realize that they actually learn a dance but I couldn't be more in love with the fact that at least one of our kids enjoys a group sport! She's a cutie... and tends to wear her dance outfit the rest of the day :)
