Easter 2021

I have really slowed down taking pictures 😅 The town did a bunny hunt (which was super cute!) and Roxy got a basket of eggs for participating. The kids woke up on Easter morning to baskets filled with chocolates, play doh, candy... Breckie's basket was a bike basket! She was thrilled! The Easter bunny is so cool.  The kids were amazing and divided up their candy from their egg hunt equally.    Roxy ate all of hers within a week. That girl can eat some candy!! Everett ate his over time. Breckie still has candy.  Jake and Roxy fell asleep so Everett and Breckie were the only two dying eggs with me.  Everett was trying to be tough and serious... but he just couldn't do it 😆 Breckie made the Easter bunny a special egg... she's always so thoughtful. She is always making me, friends, teachers gifts and cards and notes of love. She is the sweetest (when she wants to be 😅)! Easter was great and we enjoyed the classic Easter dinner.  Ham, scalloped potatoes, aspa...

Easter Blues

Easter morning the kids woke up to find the Easter bunny brought them baskets and big presents.  Roxy has mastered her scoot bike so she was ready for one with pedals.  Breckie as been asking for a bike for a long time. She had a smaller one for a while but NEVER rode it. So she gave it to the neighbor. Now she wants a bike but the one she gave away is too small.  Everett has suddenly shows some major skill in baseball and was looking forward to getting a real bat and some baseball gear.  Easter morning was fun. It was super cute to see them all dig through their baskets.  When they went downstairs they found that the Easter bunny had hid eggs all over the house. I think we only have another year of magic before it gets spoiled :) We had church and our Easter lesson in the living room, because, you know, quarantine.  The kids were so excited to play with their gifts. So we went to the neighborhood park where Roxy master...

Kids Easter Pictures

Eventhough we didn't attend an actual church service on Easter Sunday I still wanted an Easter picture.  Wth life being so jam packed and busy right now my only chance was Saturday morning sunrise. It took waaaaay too long to get the kids dressed and the sun was getting a little intense and no one wanted to be in pictures.  But still. Plus all three kids in one picture is pretty special!

Easter Festivities

Breckie and I talked Everett into coloring and dying eggs with us. I think he secretly wanted to anyways :) I don't know if it was the crayons, eggs or dye, but the coloring didn't show up as well as in years past. It's probably because we used one of those goofy kits because the food coloring was sold out. But it was still fun.  Our neighborhood had it's first annual egg hunt. Roxy totally picked up on it right away! Pictures with the creepy Easter bunny are always good 😂 Besides melted chocolate, Breckie got some stickers inside her eggs and decorated her basket.  Right after the egg hunt I left to second shoot for a wedding. I came home SO tired but still had eggs to stuff and hide. I left a trail of colored eggs from each kids' door to their gift from the Easter bunny.   Breckie and Roxy both got Shopkin Cutie Cars and Everett got two Wimpy Kid books.  But I think the best part was that Everett has never see...

Easter

Everett and I colored Easter eggs on Saturday. Beckie didn't want to and Jake was gone on a boys trip.  We had tons of fun and it was such a cute experience.  Everett measured and mixed each color, colored cute and creative things on his eggs, and was fascinated at how they turned out.  A few days prior we had gotten an Easter package from my mom and the bubble guns have been a huge hit.  We have church at 8 am so we didn't really get the chance to get a family Easter pic on Sunday but it's okay... The Easter bunny stopped by and hid eggs while we were at church. The kids thought it was magical- and he left almost 100 eggs for them! Later we went to the Millers for probably our best holiday meal yet... and another egg hunt.  We also celebrated the real meaning of Easter and it's cute to see their understanding and testimonies of Christ grow.

Easter Day

Easter morning the Easter bunny  left baskets  buckets for his two favorite kids in their teepee.  After they emptied their buckets they went and found eggs around the house.  We spent the day at home watching general conference (I couldn't keep my eyes dry during Elder Holland's talk. He is amazing) and then we went to the Millers late that afternoon. We dyed eggs:  And had an egg hunt for the kids.  We tried to get a picture of the four of them and each picture is so funny to me! I especially love that the Miller boys both have the same expression in the picture above and below! The Jakes cooked dinner for us while our kids played and ate candy. Somehow Everett ended up with at least 15 more eggs than he started with… perhaps he kept "finding" them :) After dinner we had the Holbein family Easter tradition bird's nests that were SO good. Apparently they are just chow mein noodles a...
