Everett Turns ELEVEN

For Everett's birthday we went to the Lego store. Everett has been picking out Lego's for his birthday since my grandma sent his $20 for is 4th birthday and he picked out two police cars. He was so adorable with his big toothy smile and focus as he followed the instructions and put them together.  I've always loved Lego's so I don't mind "investing" in them. I feel like they are memory-keepers in a way and a gift that keeps on giving.  He was debating between the Ford Mustang, the Ghost Busters car, or the buccaneers pirate ship.  He decided on the mustang!  He started building it right away... you know it's good when he chooses a toy over screens!!! He told me I didn't need to do all the decorations and stuff but I told him I had to! He needs to know he's special and worth decorating for (no matter how old he is or if he thinks it will embarrass him infront of his friends.  He decided on a party at Elevate (trampoline park) and an ice cream ca...

Burrito's Birthday

Everito-burrito turned 10. We had a "camping" theme for him this year. He loves to came so Jake bought him a hatchet and he's been carrying his pocketknives in his pockets lately. I think it's adorable.  We had the Smith's over again to help celebrate.  He blew out his candles and then we had to light them again for Roxy to blow out :) She was pretty hysterical that Everett blew them out and not her.  Everett got legos from us, money from grandparents, a hat, and more legos. The night ended with a nerf gun war and shooting the balloons. I hope he had a good birthday!!

Everett Turns NINE

Nine.  Whew.  Everett is nine.  Sometimes I feel like he should be 12 already but then other times it seems like I just sent him off to Kindergarten! Everett is super smart. At least twice as smart as Jake and I were at his age. We always joke with him and ask him where he came from because he is so different than we were (and are) in many ways.  He LOVES movies (especially the Marvel movies), loves music, likes to swim and play soccer, and pretty much anything to do on a screen.  He has a lot of friends but only socializes at school and church. He is still very sensitive... (proof that he's my kid!). He has a crush on Reya (a girl in his class).  Everett is a special kid and everyone seems to sense it. He's so good when he knows he should be. He always gives us a run for our money at home though. Sometimes I hate that he gives his best to everyone else... but I'm grateful he's not a punk to everyone! P...

Cool Kid

Everett is 8.5 now and as cool as ever.  We really love this kid. A LOT! He's smart. He reads and spells well.  He really really really loves music and video games.  He's also really enjoyed being in scouts.  He has tons of friends, everyone loves him, he adores his little sisters, and he's just about the coolest 8.5 year old around.  We love you dude :)

SEVEN

Everett is SEVEN.  He is intelligent, emotional, SO sweet, fun to talk to, bossy, caring, nervous, and has a million dollar smile.  I'll never get over how much I love this kid.  There is something special about him! Despite our efforts, he's an indoor kid... at least for now. He'd play the iPad or Xbox all day if he could. He wouldn't eat or pee all day and just play his games right through his bodily discomfort... but thankfully he has a mom that won't allow it :)  When he's forced to be outside 😅 he's on his bike or playing with some of the kids on our street (Rhett, Caleb, Kevin, Tova, or Abby). I've felt a lot of guilt knowing that he'll have to make all new friends in a new neighborhood.  He seems to have a lot of friends although he isn't necessarily outgoing or super social. He's just a nice kid so other kids want to be his friends... so I shouldn't feel too bad that he'll have to m...
