Jake Miller Gets (re)Married

It's been a hot minute since we've seen the Millers... but that doesn't mean we love them or like them any less!! In fact, Rad is still MADLY "in love" with Breckie! 💕 Jake has been engaged to Kristen (who happens to have 3 kids too) and then got married in September. Of course, COVID changed their plans but they were still able to hold a beautiful ceremony.  I don't have a single picture of the bride & groom... you'll just have to trust that Kristen looked AMAZING and Jake was pretty handsome too.  Everett and Breckie hug out with the Miller boys like only 5 minutes had passed since we lived on the same street. Roxy was too busy coloring & painting at the kids table.  Roxy is one little dancer at weddings. This is the second time this wedding season that she was the star of the dance floor! Breckie took a turn dancing with Jake before Rad came and really took over the floor. I have a few videos of him dancing for Breckie. It is so cute how much h...

4 Little Piggies

I think Schnepf Farms has been named an Arizona treasure.  I'd have to agree. It's free and we've spent lots of time there... apparently not enough time lately because Breckie has been begging me to weeks to go.  So we went. And brought some friends along.  Even though we live 'in the city', I feel like our kids at least get to experience 'country' life now and again. (The irony is that we drive past Schnepf Farms to get into town 😆) And these pictures of Rad and Breckie are just the best! He's been trying to love on her for years!  It's always a good time on the farm.

Spartan Sprint

It feel like a decade ago we signed up for this Spartan race. In fact, I may have been pregnant still. Maybe not. It was a long time ago 😆 But it was Julia's idea. And I'm SOOOO glad she actually takes action when she wants something because I had been bummed that I hadn't found friends that are as active as my gym/running friends from WA. I missed the races and the adventures but I didn't know anyone that would want to do them. But then Julia joined a gym last year and wanted something to work towards. An advertisement for a spartan race popped up on her FB and now you know the story :) So Julia made a team, signed us up, orchestrated everything, and I basically just went and had a blast.  The best part is that for a while, I wasn't even 100% positive what a Spartan race was. I knew there was mud and dirt and muscles involved so I actually youtube-d a video after Julia told me we had to climb over a 7 foot wall 😅 We signed up fo...

Freddy's Desert Mountain

Since now is the time to get out and enjoy AZ, we went to Freddy's and fueled up on Root Beer and dirt & worms...  *Roxy's always got her hands in everyone's business! ... and then went on a big long bike ride (Desert Mountain Trail).   The kids did amazing. Everett is so competitive and wouldn't let Rhett pass him the entire ride and Breckie rode her scooter for miles and miles until we almost begged her to get in the bike trailer with Roxy.  It was quite the enjoyable Winter outing :)  We saw at least a dozen rabbits, lots of dirt, and a little greenery 😂😆 Actually, there is one really pretty part of the trail. Jake was like "what!? where did this come from!" The rest of the ride was along the wash. Think: sand and sage brush.  But we have the SUN! The glorious Winter sun!
