Everett's Room (Part 5!)

I love that our kids are small enough that they still let me pick out their clothes and decorate their rooms. I'll be sad someday when I'll have to give that up. But for now, I love it. Here is Everett's room.  Just like Everett's room in the last house we bought... his room was pink when we first moved in.  It took me a while to decide on the right color for his room and I think I made a good choice. But before I painted, I had to sand off those stripes. I'm so thankful there were only two lines to sand... I couldn't imagine an entire wall of them! Most of Everett's decorations stayed the same. I added his initials to the wall. Someday we'll have a bookshelf for all of those books below them!!  (lol, I need to dust!) (Both of the kids have these fancy walk-in closets) All of the wood in his room is dark brown... not black. I LOVE the bright colors in his room. I really wanted to get this...

Brecklyn's Room (part 2)

I enjoy decorating.  Sometimes is stresses me out but when it's all done it's always worth it.  Breckie's room is pretty awesome.  Probably my favorite room yet.  Her room is huge. The previous owners used it as an office. I wanted her room grey. So I painted it grey...THREE TIMES!!  I just couldn't get the color right.  Then I finally did.  I stenciled the wall and put most of her decorations up from her previous room. About 2 months ago I decided that I wanted a picture of a temple in Everett's room. So I decided Breckie needed one too! I made the Oakland temple for her room. (more details here). I made it out of wood, paint, her stencil, glue and little diamonds. And then I had Jake put crown molding around it. It's seriously the coolest in real life. The pictures don't really show how awesome it is. Especially at night when her lamp is on... it just shines! I also made some flowers o...

This Kid

Everett is so awesome.  Every preschool day he comes home with his name written on a strip of paper. It's so cute to think of him sitting at his desk holding a pencil and tracing his name. I love it. Just like all things 'parenthood' some things go by way too fast and some things seem to drag on forever... so I need to write some things down before I forget or he grows out of them. Things Everett says and what they mean. Yummy Tea = Lightning McQueen Mary = Mater Boppy = Diaper Deary = Cereal Puptake = Cupcake Bop = Stop Pewy = Computer Chickie Nuggies Wawee = Water Bippy pup = Sippy cup Pitzee Door = Costco (pizza store!) Bwapes = Grapes He doesn't have nicknames or baby words for things... that is him legitimately trying to say what he means and I think it's adorable because he's trying.  He obviously can't say his S's and anything that should end in 'er' ends with a y/ie/ey for Everett. He...

Six Months- Pierced

Sweet, awesome, totally amazing little Breckie is 6 months.  I can't even remember the last time I even called her 'Brecklyn' She's Breckie.  And to Everett she is always 'Baby Breckie' She is the best.  She's funny, easy, expressive, enjoyable and adorable.  And she likes her milk at night.  Don't try and skip that! She is such a crack up.  I was taking her pictures and this is the exact sequence I captured in like 2 seconds  I could stare at her pictures all day long! For her 6 month birthday (because I LOVE birthdays!!) I took her to get her ears pierced. She did great. And we think the earrings just add to her awesomeness.  At 6 months she is 15 lbs, 11 oz which puts her right at 50%.  She's 75% for length. She can sit a little... lol, like this: Or like this: She can roll over both ways, both ways. (Back ...
