Free Cone Day!

Every time we walk out of the gym the kids ask to go to Dairy Queen or IN-N-OUT and yesterday was free cone day so I said YES!  The kids thought it was so cool that they were giving away cones! Also, look how cute Roxy is! She's growing up so fast!

My Three Amigos

I needed a new cover photo for my Facebook page. I also wanted to check out a 'family friendly' spot for taking pictures.  My good friend (Hannah's mom) asked me to take their family pictures. I was like "YEAH! How did you know I was trying to be a 'real' photographer?!" She was like "um, I didn't! I just liked your Christmas card and you said you did it on self timer so I wanted to see if you could take our pictures." Basically she's an answer to prayers.  I had already asked another family if I could practice on them and thankfully they have the same number of kids/same ages/same genders. I just needed to find a place where they wouldn't step on a cactus!  Also, we have church at 2 pm. So we got the kids ready, found a spot, took some pictures (at noon!) and it's like all of the stars aligned!  1. we went on a fun family outing 2. found a cool, family-friendly...

Spring Break (Week 1)

We are boring. And that's ok.  Actually, with sickness and naps and whining and me saving all of our pennies for decorations (😊) we haven't done anything super great for Spring Break.  Taking it easy is ok :)  The weather has been GREAT!!! and we are so thankful.  I did find a funny paper in Everett's backpack :) We went grocery shopping and found mini shopping carts, we played soccer at the park one night.  It was actually a super fun memory. Jake was working late (which has THANKFULLY been pretty rare these days!) so we went to the park (that is literally right behind our house) and played soccer until dark. We were barefoot and in shorts. The grass was wet from the sprinklers and we were slipping everywhere. It was fun.  A few days later we had friends over to the park and played as families. We might need some bigger soccer nets!  We went to the gym a few times (which is probably where we picked u...

Diet Coke Addict

I blame Jake for this.  Look at that happy smile!!!  Even when it burns the nose she still wants more!

Pool Full of Dirt

Our backyard is underway and we. are. EXCITED!  Construction started just a few days after we moved in. It's been fun to watch.  The only drawback in the dirt. The dirt. And the dirt.  THE DIRT!!!!!  We play in it, we're covered in it, it blows everywhere, it covers everything, I sweep and vacuum it everyday.  We even play in the piles of it next to the 9 foot concrete hole 🙈 There is so much to look forward to with/in our backyard. We are super excited to have it to play in and spend days and nights in and eat dinner under the string of lights!

Cracking Eggs

Moving into the house has been so nice! It is so comfortable and lives so well.  WE ARE SO HAPPY TO BE HOME!!! Within the first week the kids and I had already made banana bread and we've stayed up late baking several times since.  One of those was the night before Breckie's birthday.  Everett is getting pretty good at cracking eggs... Breckie has no interest in even trying 😂 On the last egg we had to dig out a few shells :)  Breckie filled her cupcake liners and then we all licked the bowl and spoons and I sent them to bed on a sugar high ;)

Senior Pictures- Hailee Westover

This is Hailee... she's our good friend and babysitter. Smokin' hot babysitter, right??!  She's a senior (just barely 18) and a procrastinator ;)  Hopefully there are more senior girl procrastinators out there because these pictures turned out AMAZING!!!  I couldn't have done it without Hailee's mom there as my posing guru. She really saved my bacon! I'm probably more obsessed about these pictures than Hailee :) I LOVE them! The sun was setting fast but still we manage to get SO MANY great shots.  Maybe someday I'll even shoot her wedding ;) I'm pretty sure there is a long list of wishful fella's!
