Roxy Roo Is A THREEnager

Isn't she the most beautiful little person you've ever seen??!  Roxy is so full of life and totally hilarious.  She is as SASSY!!!!!! as she is cute! She sucks her thumb and I'm sure she will for a long time.  #braces She plays really, really, really well by herself and is such an independent little girl.  But the flip side is that she doesn't share. At all. Not even a little bit.  She loves to play with dolls, shopkins, playhouses & little figurines, slime, play food, and watch movies/you tube.  Roxy is really tough. She is constantly surprising us when she holds back the tears when she gets hurt.  She could be potty trained but prefers to poop in her panties 😡  I'd say we are about 50-60% there.  She still only eats a handful of things and is largely sustained by all the mama cows out there.  When she's tired she asks for a nap. She loves to swim (with floati...

Dreaming The Dream

The weather this year has been unbelievable! I've been so thankful and grateful.  Yesterday was only 79 degrees so we skipped the gym and took the bikes to a super fancy neighborhood called The Pecans.  It's an old Pecan orchard that they turned into a SUPER fancy neighborhood that I'd love to be lucky enough to live in one day. It's gated but we have some friends with relatives that live there who shared the code with us :) I love trees, green, shade, cool days, big houses, pretty landscaping, chirping birds, and mountain views. The ONLY thing this neighborhood seems to be lacking is the mountain view.  We snuck in the other day just to drive around too. We saw that huge house being build and liked the way the white bricks looked. We ordered white bricks for our laundry room wall a few weeks ago but haven't put them up yet. I really liked the "messy" way they were put up so I wanted to take a second look. At least that was my...

First Half of May's "Flowers" & My Dad's House

May started with Roxy and I at my Dad's house. Still working on it. Getting really close to being done 🙌 I think we ended up being there three nights in a row.  Jake had his dunes trip the 2nd-5th. The morning of the 2nd he took the kids out for breakfast at Kneaders.. kind-of like a last hoorah before he was gone for the rest of the week.  It happened to be the Father/Son campout that same weekend. They were both bummed they couldn't go but Everett went with the Westover boys & Dave. They picked him up that night.  Roxy and I were still up at my Dad's. I was putting the grout on the backsplash but it was going SOOOOO much slower than I had anticipated (literally everything takes like 4 times longer than you think). I couldn't leave in the middle of the project and I was running into so many problems.... so Breckie ended up spending the evening with the Westover girls & Jen... which turned into a sleepover. Her first sleepover ever. And it ...
