Pirate Musical

The 3rd grade choir put on a pirate musical for their concert. It was amazing! I was totally impressed with how many songs they sang and memorized!  Everett is such a cutie and loves music so much. He wants to try out for Kidz Bop when he turns 9... because he Googled how to be one of the kid singers and you have to be at least 9. Then you send in an audition tape.

Running Club

Everett was in running club last year and really enjoyed it. He did it again this year but the season was like three times as long... so he was a little burnt out by the end.  But there was a practice race about a month ago and then the final race today. He did so good! Of course I cheered for him and he got mad at me and told me I couldn't call him "burrito" (one of his nicknames) in public.  I was a little heartbroken. Okay, a lot heartbroken! But we went to Dairy Queen after and that made everything better :)

School

Everett has been riding his bike to school lately so Roxy and I have been taking Breckie. We either take the stroller or bike trailer and then we go on a walk or ride after we drop her off.  The morning weather is my FAVORITE right now! So crisp and refreshing! Breckie wanted to be extra cozy one morning and put on a hat and then wore slipper socks on her hands because she couldn't find any gloves :) And there's Roxy, always admiring Breckie! It's like a repeat of me and Montana.  And Everett's test answer cracked me up! He's such a smart and funny little guy :)

Happiness Is...

Happiness is... watching two of your kids walk to school and only taking one kid to the grocery store! Happiness is playing with one kid at a time... and getting to decorate.  Happiness is laughing at how awesome your kids are.  *When is Saturday? *I like Fortnite very much (x-box game) +Would you rather be a cat or dog? *Me too, Everett! Dog life seems much more adventurous and exciting! Breckie is loving Kindergarten. She is learning A LOT since she didn't go to preschool and since she didn't want me to teach her anything. #truestory She is learning how to write her name (first and last) and it's so cute to see. Also her drawings are the best!!! She made another perler bead creation at home after school yesterday... Belle this time.  I LOOOOOVE that Breckie added an extra few letters to our last name  BRECKLYN BERNENER :) I also found it adorable that the second page to this little book she made had a new co...

Second Day

Honestly, one of my biggest fears of Breckie going to Kinder would be her not wanting to go the second day. In the past, she likes to do things once and then she's good :) Kind-of like me. I like to watch movies once. That's it. (Unless it's Home Alone!) BUT she went back (happily) for the second day of school. And third and fourth! Roxy is still LOVING being the only kids at home! We play and play and play and when she naps I am a free woman! I get to do whatever I want and no one is crying at me or needing something and I really, really like it :) Roxy is really into "taydoe heads" right now.  She's also really into coloring. She colors on everything and even colored on one of my most favorite pictures Breckie has ever colored. I actually was pretty bummed about it. But she's forgiven. Like always.

First Day of School 2018

Jake and I wanted to take the kids out for dinner the night before school started. Just for fun. Just to celebrate. To make a new tradition.  Bonus... it was/is 117 degrees 😰😓 We took the kids to Red Robin.  We ate lots and lots of calories, had 6 lemonades, 5 baskets of fries, and dessert.  We had to celebrate Breckie going to school for the first time and Everett going into 3rd grade.  The next morning was a breeze. We were all ready and excited for school (they even wore the same outfits and the night before 😆). Everett even made his own sandwich and was ready to go to school without us walking him.  But it was the first day... so we had to get pictures!! Breckie went into class no problem. I left before she could even want me to stay or cry. I am so proud of her! Roxy LOVED being the only kid at home and LOVED having all of the toys to herself. She's gotten into the girly stuff just these ...
