First Day of Pre-K

We are beyond excited that Roxy was able to start preschool on time!!!  (We are still waiting to hear when the older two get to go back in real life) I wasn't able to take her on her first day but Jake did just a great job taking pictures before she went in :) She's growing so fast and I love the conversations we are able to have!  She loves preschool so much and this year she is able to go three days a week. She comes home singing songs and is just so full of life. I love it.

Roxy At Age 4

Over the years I've given myself a little more grace.  When Everett was 3 I stared a thing where I took pictures of the kids every 6 months. I've been very good at it until recently. Everett and Roxy have birthdays that are pretty close together (May 19th & May 27th) and Everett was pretty adamant that at age 10 he was done with the yearly pictures. So I let that slide. But then I let Roxy's pictures slide two months... I was finally able to take them and I'm so happy I did. She is such a little sweetheart.    She still sucks her thumb and has a favorite cupcake blanket. She plays barbies, babies, shopkins, little figurines, and has recently learned how to swim all by herself. She jumps off the diving board and it's just the cutest little thing! Just like most kids these days, she really enjoys YouTube videos of toy unboxing or toy reviews.  She is really into coloring and actually colors pretty darn good.  SHE IS MESSY!!! It is such a chore to get her...

Roxy Roo Turns 4

For Roxy's birthday she's been telling me she wanted a Elsa cake for ages. So we went to Joann's on her birthday to see what we could find.  I was hoping to find one of those doll tops and then make a cake as the skirt/dress, but they didn't have any. But Roxy found something else she wanted anyways so it worked out.  Then we went to Target to pick up the cake mix.  (she loves playing with the mannequins) We made her cake and Jake brought home some balloons.  She had been swimming so she has wet hair, but she didn't care. The Smith's came over and we sang to her, opened her presents, and ate cake.   They ended up staying for hours and I'm pretty sure Roxy was happy with her cake, presents, and two parties :)

Roxy Roo Is A THREEnager

Isn't she the most beautiful little person you've ever seen??!  Roxy is so full of life and totally hilarious.  She is as SASSY!!!!!! as she is cute! She sucks her thumb and I'm sure she will for a long time.  #braces She plays really, really, really well by herself and is such an independent little girl.  But the flip side is that she doesn't share. At all. Not even a little bit.  She loves to play with dolls, shopkins, playhouses & little figurines, slime, play food, and watch movies/you tube.  Roxy is really tough. She is constantly surprising us when she holds back the tears when she gets hurt.  She could be potty trained but prefers to poop in her panties 😡  I'd say we are about 50-60% there.  She still only eats a handful of things and is largely sustained by all the mama cows out there.  When she's tired she asks for a nap. She loves to swim (with floati...

Roxy At Age Two

Somehow, in the process of documenting our last month, I failed to post some of the best pictures!!! Our very own Roxy Kate's two-year-old pictures! Taken a few days before she turned two... and posted exactly a month late 🙈 She is so funny and loves to play with the doll house.  She is one little mama for sure. She loves baby dolls and got all kinds of accessories for her babies for her late birthday.  She isn't the best eater but she is getting better (which we are SO THANKFUL!) She loves to climb on the table after she's done eating (her two bites of food), still likes bottles, NO sign of potty training and her vocabulary is amazing.  Her facial expressions are priceless, she says "HEYYYYY" whenever she thinks you might steal her stuff (she learned this at the gym), and lately she wants to check on the other kids before she goes to bed. It's cute. She's cute. We love her so much! ...

1.5 Year-Old Roxy

Roxy.  The wild, passionate, adventurous one-and-a-half year old.  She's like lightning and thunder in one quick succession.  We have so much in common; her and I.  I'm sure she's the pretty typical toddler. Has a mind (and agenda) of her own, throws wild fits, climbs up on the kitchen table, PICKY eater and LOOOOVES her mama! She's been sucking her thumb more and more lately. #braces Says mama, dada, night night and she can follow directions pretty good (ex. go give this to Everett/go get your blankie).  She reminds me a lot of Everett.  A couple times she got going fast enough on her bike that she flipped over. Face in the dirt and bike on top of her. She was more angry that Jake was consoling her and she wasn't on her bike than she was that she flipped over.    And that's our Roxy girl!
