Fall Break

We went to Colorado for Fall break.... because what better place is there than Colorado in the Fall??! Jake had been on a guys trip to Colorado the week prior, so the kids and I drove to meet up with him at my parents house.  We didn't waste any time. We went for a scenic drive and then ended up at our favorite BBQ place. It kind-of feels like we do the same things every time we go, but the kids love it and it's turning into a fun tradition.  We drove up to Fort Lewis and found some deer right on campus.  We were SO close. It's funny how I've turned into one of those city slickers from Phoenix that stops to check out the deer! The girls spent a lot of time playing in the sand box, coloring, crafting, and playing with the trinkets they brought. It's so fun to see the girls have so much fun together.  Jake and Braxton even taught Everett how to chop wood.  Before we left to go back home, Grammy made me chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and apple pie for...

Jake Miller Gets (re)Married

It's been a hot minute since we've seen the Millers... but that doesn't mean we love them or like them any less!! In fact, Rad is still MADLY "in love" with Breckie! 💕 Jake has been engaged to Kristen (who happens to have 3 kids too) and then got married in September. Of course, COVID changed their plans but they were still able to hold a beautiful ceremony.  I don't have a single picture of the bride & groom... you'll just have to trust that Kristen looked AMAZING and Jake was pretty handsome too.  Everett and Breckie hug out with the Miller boys like only 5 minutes had passed since we lived on the same street. Roxy was too busy coloring & painting at the kids table.  Roxy is one little dancer at weddings. This is the second time this wedding season that she was the star of the dance floor! Breckie took a turn dancing with Jake before Rad came and really took over the floor. I have a few videos of him dancing for Breckie. It is so cute how much h...

2020 Family Pictures

The sun went down on us pretty fast... but just like last year, we got some good ones!

Primary Activities

One Tuesday I was hosting the 8/9 year old primary girls activity at our house. We were learning about tithing and made little tithing banks.  One Tuesday I was hosting the 8 & 9 year old primary girls' activity at our house. We were learning about tithing and made tithing banks out of the mini Pringles cans.  It was fun, CRAZY CHAOTIC, but quite successful. I had just put up some Halloween decorations earlier that day and the girls were obsessed! They were all so in love with our house & and back yard that some of the girls mentioned this was their "dream house!" I felt pretty special receiving all of their happy comments and feedback 😁 I feel like I work really hard to have/keep a nice home and it's great that we have turned into the neighborhood house. We ALWAYS have extra kids over!

The Random Things

No-screen Sunday always brings the kids together.  Roxy let "Aunt Edna" wear her shirt and scarf... And Jake leaves me funny surprised in the car 😅 Everett's hair is so long that I could but it in a little bun and he looked like a Sumo Wrestler! Also, he and a friend from school drew a map of where the each lived so they could ride bikes to each other houses. It was adorable! Roxy and I are always sporting the "crazy hair, don't care" look! Speaking of crazy hair, Emily & Breckie really nailed it on crazy air day! Roxy and I were at Ross and she found a "giant high heal!" It made me smile :)  (it's a baby bath tub seat) Since COVID, parents aren't allowed to watch at dance class... so I don't even know if she pays attention or not, but she looks pretty cute! These girls are ALWAYS dressing up! And my favorite little boy next door (Carter) made me a little love note!  Roxy's knobby knees made me smile.
